That's an interesting, if slightly overpowered concept. I'd say limit it to one field and you'd have a very nice tinker power
You mean slightly overpowered in the sense of The Siberian?

And yeah, it it's not meant to be electrical storms, you just buff up the gear of other tinkers basically. It would revert after a while, but in the meantime, you are the perfect assistant to Dragon. The other part of the power would probably be considered Thinker; you hack into anything with an operating system(and in a lot of cases, if it didn't have an operating system before you upgraded it, it probably does now) and rewrite the code how you like. Typically, this means it obeys you, though it could just be to insert a virus, though he wouldn't be all that great at virus creation, and while hacking could be possibly vulnerable to viruses. Basically he goes into the machine. But yeah, technopathy would probably be the best way to describe it.

I'm thinking the name Upload if they're a hero, and possibly Terminal(Upload works great for Hero or Villain, really) for a villain. Most dangerous in concert with more conventional tinkers. Oh, Dragon has a new suit? That definitely needs to get bigger. Bakuda created a fancy new bomb? Let's make it's blast radius five times the size(though he'd have some trouble ensuring he escaped, too...). Combined with the on-touch hacking(he has to touch it, so no ranged fancy pants shit), he's more or less the ultimate tinker ally and counter.

...Now I have to image "Summon Bigger Truck", though.

The main concepts I have for capes are Upload, Scarlet/Crimson(blood based powers, yayyyyy), and...that's more or less it, at the moment. I was thinking someone with very general control over or the ability to communicate with natural phenomena, whether it be storms, trees, or animals, named Druid, but there's already Taproot so...

Rolepgeek, you literally just described my character's exact power from a roll to dodge, 100% perfectly. It's uncanny.
Spoiler: summon bigger truck (click to show/hide)

So if you were using the truck from sonic adventure then it would become the one from sonic generations.

If I did, it wasn't on purpose, because that wasn't what I had been thinking of for the power, not in that way....

It is the Wormverse.
Skulgrat's 13000 year old self says otherwise.  Unless he's crazy which is also possible.  Also, "assuming direct control" as Karma does was
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
as it sounds like a mass posession, also known as something that would immediately render someone too dangerous to live.  Without further information, I would consider Karma to be an S class threat.

Regent could do something similar, MrVoid.

As well, it doesn't look like they can use it on capes, and it's possible it could be multiple people working together.

On the Regent point, that required torturing the person being posessed.

On the multiple people point, they are still terrifying, but it does limit them significantly should one be separated.  I would still put them at S if they can, with no set up, control civilians.

They're heroes; I don't know what all classifies as a class S threat, but if they cn control capes that easy, then you're fucked anyway since you can't really hurt them without them taking control of you first. Plus, no one actually knows who/what they are. They could be using something similar to Crusader, save with the ability to literally possess. Or simply the ability to say 'everyone in this area, kill those mothafuckas'.

There's a thousand and one possibilities, and currently they don't seem anywhere near as dangerous as people like Nilbog. If they were villains/are being treated as villains(civvies get hurt if you mind-control them? Class A threat. As it is, Eidolon is probably on par with their power, if not a little more.

For Regent, from what I gathered, it didn't actually require torture, it just was torture, in and of itself. He just needed a few minutes to hours to get familiar with their nervous system and impose his will on it.

All good points.

Then I suppose that my final point of contention is, what the hell is someone with anywhere near this level of power doing in a moderately sized town?  Karma's power would make the most sense either in a large city or doing charity work coordinating rebuilding after disaster events.

Probably have a vested interest in the place.

Well someone in the protectorate is either ecstatic that they are here or are furious that they are wasting their powers here.

One final request then, so as to avoid the major players in story, may this at least take place on Earth Aleph?

A pleasure to see you as always Cado.

Been thinking about this, I would like it if we try to keep our posts meaty once we start role paying. It just adds so much when you describe your charcter's thoughts and feeling in depth rather than just saying "Phil looks at the duck".
