You can get anything equal or less than your wealth bonus for free. For the others you need to spend significant money and make a wealth check.

Assume I take 10 on all the stuff. Only one thing above my Wealth bonus anyway, and that's a Leather Jacket, and only barely above it. DC of 10, could be considered clothing; do I lose a point of Wealth from getting it?

Dixon Webb is an investigative reporter for the Starmoc News-Express with a gift for listening and discerning truth from even the most obtuse of witnesses...and perhaps more so, the wit to know what not to print. He had no intention of facing down the mob or becoming a Hero-he'd much rather report on it, from the safety of his desk. He had a good life-family, money and influence to keep high above it all-a job that could only lead to good places-and a beautiful girlfriend who was into gymnastic contortion. What could go wrong?

The story that would change everything literally dropped into his lap. It was a homemade grenade, tossed through his apartment window. Turns out his girl-alias of Suzanna Summers-was into more than contortion. She claimed she was a major power player in the underworld courts, using the cover of her fatuous dilettante boyfriend to seem no more than another society snob as she commanded her own criminal cartel. Needless to say it was a shock-one, to learn that she was the intended target and not him. And two, that she had apparently only been playing him as cover and for his connections. She vanished without any explanation, only leaving an obscure note that suggested all this and told him she was leaving "for his own good". Webb isn't sure if it was a total lie or a half truth or something in-between. Recently, he has been laying low and keeping quiet, since then, but he's decided the wake up call was more than enough-people have been suffering through worse every day. He's determined to find the truth and get a measure of justice for the people of Starmoc city. He can't live under the cover of a newsman any longer-he is beginning to feel it's not much defense anyway.

And, he still can't sleep at night. He can't help but wonder-who really is Suzanna Summers, the one he remembers? Was any of it real?

The maximum damage I can do with a melee attack assuming a critical is 20. Whoof, that's nice. Not quite as nice as a 24 with my pistol, but still. +4 to hit? Hell yes.

Nice. I can do, uhh, 18 damage on a critical, with +3 to hit, so I shouldn't be too far behind you.
