My best guess is that you added the Int score instead of the bonus.

It's the +-number next to the value you put in. 10-11 is 0, and you go up and down in pairs from there.

You need proficiencies for different weapons, as listed in the Equipment (Combat) section. You also have an additional feat to spend.
