Nikki was busy when the call came. Busy enough that by the time she hit the accept call button on her phone, it had already gone to voice mail. She cursed, scrambling for the voicemail button. In her type of job, a missed call probably meant a missed job, there just wasn't any room for missed contact in the PI gig. As she fumbled with the phone, she felt a kiss on the inside of her left thigh. "Not right now, babe" She grunted, bringing the phone up to her ear to listen. As the voice began talking, she felt another kiss. "God dammit, I said not right now." She shoved with her foot, catching the skinny woman on the collar bone, sending her thumping into the wall. As the message ended, she climbed out of the bed, searching around for a bit before pulling on her underwear. "Gotta cut it short today, sorry babe. Your cash is on the dresser." She pulled on her pants, checking the pistol hanging at her side. A few seconds later, the door slammed, leaving the younger woman counting her money.
     Nikki hopped in her car, speeding across town at an average of 10 miles above the speed limit. She knew where the cops hung out, it's easy to speed if you know how. She pulled into her drive way, locked the car, and headed inside. Shower, change, go. She needed this job, might as well be early.
