Asabjorn moves up to behind valour and attempts to cast guiding bolt on Orc1!
After dispensing some obvious advice, Asbjorn rushes forward to blast some orcs with divine retribution.
(11 + 5) Hit! 4 + 4 + 5 + 4 damage! And blast them he does, as the bolt slams into the orc, setting its body ablaze with divine light! However it is still standing, but not for long...
Ima gonna move to J4 and chuck an axe at O2, then draw my hammer.
As the turn order starts from the top again, Nil moves up and hops over the barricade to face the orcs' charge.
(6 + 5) Miss! He also chucks an axe at the nearest orc, but fumbles the throw and misses by a hair. Drat.
Lothinnen moves to O3, fires an arrow at Orc #1, then continues on to M2 so that Redoran can have a clear corridor to fire
(19/7 + 6) Hit! 7 damage! Lothinenn proves that he
can't spell his own name doesn't need any divine guidance by putting an arrow into the orc glowing with divine light. The orc, despite being the most stubborn race underneath the planet, finally succumbs to his wounds and collapses in a bloody heap.
Redoran steps up to the plate!
That orc ability is very impressive, didn't expect that one, was actually suspecting they were some gnomish illusion.
Yeah, I really like it. Even when 'dead' they can still do some damage after all.
I'm re-reading the rules on breaking up movement before and after actions, and I'd like to clarify: could I move out of and and back into the cover of an obstacle in a round?
From my understanding, yes you can. And enemies can also ready attacks, so that they fill you full of arrows if you try that. But then you can just stay behind cover and waste their actions and so on and so forth. I had the exactly same idea the first time I read that rule too.
((Duration is cast time, right? So I have to maintain concentration for 1 whole round? I'm not used to these rules, sorry))
Yes, however 1 action is pretty much instantaneous, it's not the round, just your turn. But I suppose that someone who had readied an attack/action could make you roll for concentration before you cast the spell due to how the mechanics of the thing work out.
