Gnomes aren't useful for much, really. But I guess I'll refrain from eating them. :(

Also, you need the gnomes' help to leave the city. Unless you fancy a trip through a deadly labyrinth filled with traps meant for adventurers several times above your level. There's a reason you needed a guide to enter this place, and it wasn't to tell you about the local sights. Just so you know...
