I can cursive, and keyboard well. But talking while writing or typing makes me write the conversation or say what I'm writing.

I write with my letters connected, though it's still quite legible as it's not fully curvy/wavy. I can read cursive since my grandparents write in full cursive and that's far more flowery than mine.

This is how I was taught. It's not full on curves upon curves but is linking letters together.

It does let me write faster, but my biggest hurdle is not having a death-grip on my pen while writing. Years of using cheap biros does that.

That's my cursive, as well.

Either way, my print is worse than my cursive, and both are unreadable. I can't even read my print.

From 3rd grade to the end of high school cursive was mandatory for me. I'm decent enough at it, I guess, but only because of over a decade of practice and the fact that I developed a blocky style. I can read it well enough.

Mostly I just print and type though.

I've always disliked cursive. As a lefty writing cursive your pushing the pen in to the page instead of drawing it across the page. I'd actually end up with a sore hand pretty quickly & it ends up illegible anyway.

I normally write print but have a tendency to subconsciously slip into cursive when writing something essay length for various reasons. I also almost always write my name with cursive. I find it fun to use.

It's useless. Even signatures are just a tradition that will probably be replaced sooner rather than later with an electronic alternative.

Seeing how everyone writes differently even without cursive, it's pointless. I've never actually had the bank check my signature to make sure it was correct.

If somebody needed to identify my signatures, they'd be screwed because none of my signatures look alike.

Anyways, I think cursive is just something that somehow held on through history, and now nobody really uses it but it's still taught because reasons. No two people can read eachother's cursive and print is much more pervasive in everyday life. Yet another skill I picked up in private school and immediately wanted to trade for something more useful.

Anyway, seeing as my full-time job is to decrypt the handwriting of the professionals whose terrible penmanship is so legendary it's practically illegal to write any other way, I think I can safely vouch for supporting clear print and typed documents.

Of course one of the secrets they don't want you knowing is that the terrible handwriting is really just a way to avoid showing they can't actually spell half the drugs they prescribe.
