I'm completely bafled : Americains have decided that writing is too complicated. Now call it "cursive" as if it was some sort of writing-related disease.

Over here, where we do things properly, anyone handwriting print characters would be promply called illiterate at best. How do you guys managed to stay the superpower?

Also, please tell me that Englishmen are not involved in this madness.

My grade 6 teacher told us that everything we wrote in Junior High and High School would have to be in cursive.
My grade 6 teacher told us a lie.

I never use it, except for my signature, which I deliberately made as unrecognizable as possible while still being able to defend it as being a representation of my name. It pretty much looks like the cursive form of "Aiilii Lllliie". Needless to say, my name is not "Aiillii Lllliie".

My real life name is out there somewhere from my angsty days when I acted all superior to others because I was an atheist I don't know how some people keep that smugness into adulthood though

I'd prefer that post without the main course of condescension, please.

My apologies, it was simply meant to be a light-hearted way to point out that I didn't understand the sentence as it currently exists.
