In his
first non-pre-game-banter post, he starts with his speach patterns garbled with presidency. In fact, he was doing that pre-game, too. I feel conscerned about his question to 4mask, but this is hardly anything to be worried over yet.
There is nothing suspicious of his denial of having a post restriction. Except the One Hear, One Soul bit. Again, this is hardly anything to be worried over yet.
I deign to
post later. I play off of his suspision of Tiruin from his first post, because I don't have anything to go on yet. Also, he's already denied something about him (post restriction), so I asked him something about someone else, and deflected away from that person by making the question about everyone.
His
Next post is to complain about 4mask - he doesn't answer my question. He also drops the presidency act over it. I pretend not to notice this.
Again he mentions the same topic while still ignoring my question. It's quite possible he was hung-over during this period.
I continue to breadcrumb and roleplay in a poor fashion, such as
here, trying to get the attention of someone else who is roleplaying heavily. Eventually I just give up waiting for him to answer the question. Also of not is when
4mask asks Nerjin about irratibility.
Here he finally answers any RVS questions directed to him. I find his comment "I see that all of you are trying desperately to root out the communists who dared, who had the gall, to harm America" to be suspicious. If I take the "One Heart, One Soul" comment from earlier, I read this as "I see you're pursuing the people who suspected me, that's good". "As your president I have been authorized..." means "My scum buddies are allowing me to...".
He hits the nail on the head when he says "We cannot focus perfectly on everything", but he says that to 4mask. I also catch his attention with those questions that he percieved as less then useful.
The fish has taken the bait, get the chips frying. His address to Silthuri in that post feels suspicious, but there is nothing actually concrete about that feeling. In his address to Tiruin, he says he'll only not RP when absolutely nessesary; but he already did, twice, over the matter of not having time to trim a quote.
He also does a lazy vote of 4mask.
I post and appear to be trying to direct 4mask and Nerjin at eachother; I'm actually trying to get them to look at me instead. In addition to what I say in answer 5, manipulation of the answerer is also intended with those questions. Also, I'm not sure why Shakerag
says Nerjin likes revolvers. This is mildly suspicious.
He posts again. only to be cagey and deflective again. And assuming he's refering to himself when he says America, his closing statement becomes a taunt to the town. Out of these, the deflectiveness is more important then the taunt.
He
replies to TolyK about being a third party. At one point he says that America has a Powerful ally; taken at face value, this is just him saying he is good at scum hunting. Taken for what I believe to be it's true value, it means he has a scumbuddy.
This post, I was not really focusing on him. I was trying to attract as much suspicion as possible, so I was focusing on provoking other people. I still managed to ask Nerjin something that would be relevant later, and test to see if he thought some other questions were irrelevant still.
Here he has his full attention on me. Jack A T asked him a question about me and a question about 4mask, and he spent far more time on me. He unwitingly says food production industry in his answer about me; I take this to mean he knows that we are not of the same alignment, that he started with more information than I (that he is scum), and the bad guys are against me. I am reading too much into that statement, though.
He repeats his earlier statement to Silthuri about Evil Triumphing. Still feels off, not right.
I still find his statement about encouraging us NOT to re-elect him to be funny, too. Not in the ha-ha sense. Like, a blatant "I AM SCUM" sign.
Also, his deflection when asked which president he is is still suspicious. It also tells me that he doesn't want to be caught believing something to be insignificant when it just might be, because he chooses to not answer any questions directed at anyone else.
Then I
Do this., accusing him of being untrustworthy without voting him. I also roleplay that he's "filtering out his voice" and "[hiding] himself behind a mask", meaning hiding his identity; posting in text leaves no voice to analyze; anyways, I'm saying that because he is being deflective and hiding, he's untrustworthy.
I continue to not vote him, gaining more suspicion. So far, Nerjin has not addressed Varee once (Hence their pairing later). And even though the post restriction conversation is dead and over, I
needle him over it again. And accuse him of having scum buddies.
He does a short(er) post, where he says he does not have buddies, but continues to call himself a politician (which you can never trust!). He repeats that it's hard to focus, which I take credit for later. He also continues to only focus on myself and 4mask, basically.
Here I pass off my suspicion of him as being less important than proving my point to Toaster and Shakerag, which is true. At this point in the game I suspected shakerag far more than I did Nerjin; I did, however, suspect him a little. I also FoS'd 4mask to keep the triangle of focus focussed.
Nerjin answers Varee, the first time they have interacted. He also states that he is using a day 2 perspective on my case; I suspect this has to do with the day-kill he has. Also, "your president will always be watching you" feels creepy and slightly suspicious.
Side note:
NQT demonstrates here one reason for me gathering so much suspicion on purpose. Thanks for being predictable NQT!
Nerjin is widening his views here, do doubt starting to get a clue as to what I've been doing. I will again point out something that unnerves me about his roleplay: "The cost of Liberty is constant vigilance". Aye. I said once that the game of Mafia is more like Communism then Capitalism. That the scum behave more like capitalists. So in other words, "the cost of being scum is always having to watch your back."
Short post to explain stuff, and to warn his scum buddies to stay safe.
And he accuses me of being a cultist. I indicate that I suspect a clue to be in Nerjin's sign-offs. And taunt him into trying to kill me. Testing to see if he'll follow through.
AND HE DOES. And
then tries to pretend he didn't do it! And then
hides behind more pretending to not know what's going on.
Here is where he is also very suspicious. Hammer had already hit. What was done was done, and he knows this. So he puts a word and a name in bold to try to make it look like he tried to do something.
The last straw. I am tired of pretending to be incompetent, because now Nerjin is just making it take too much work. This is not scummy of him, but it encourages me to change tac.
He also claims to have not been able to use his ability because it's too late, but also says he'll not use it (unless nessesary). Basically, "I'm making an excuse to not try that again because it was fake".
Here he quickly rags on 4mask again. He is way too focused on 4mask and needs to expand his focus.
Me again. I imply but do not say my revive might be recharged. I post an image of a hockey player saying "I can count to potato", but the image is broken; I implied "whoops, that was stupid of me". I start my campaign of name-calling against Nerjin, and apparently I completely miss his point - because he doesn't want me to succeed at this game. I also start to kick up my game in this post, but not enough.
In reply, he uses logic to disprove my own. He also does an evil laugh in responce to my name calling. And he claims I dismissed everything he's said so far. Maybe. Or maybe I was keeping it to myself.
I reveal my suspects; I forget to prove them. It does, however,
Get nerjin to finally drop the roleplay. He also doesn't say what his actual arguement is, because he'd rather I just flail about innefectually, so that I get mislynched.
He completely dismisses 4mask's point right after he says I dismissed his.
And he hasn't picked up the roleplaying again yet. Instead he's being really angry at NQT and deflecting her questions. And saying that she isn't putting in any work.
I think at this point anything that comes after this is just a repitition of what he's already done before. Dodging answers and deflecting accusations, and getting after people for their own styles of scum-hunting. And calling people foolish. And refusing to say anything but null read about people he hasn't already been talking with. And lurking. Mostly lurking after this point, actually.
