VAV.exe: you get the ominous feeling that that little box you beat up is not the data-eating virus you were send to remove, do you still wish to attempt to get your reward? You could also attempt to force the puzzle.

Jason: Stepping out from behind cover, looking as authoritative as you can, you see something interesting, a significantly less scrappy Metal teleporting around blowing up tanks and bass blasting through some soldiers. Metal appears to be holding a yellow gemstone.

(2/30) A lucky cannon shot hits Metal, sending him flying into the dirt, as the last tank and a couple of soldiers begin to approach him.
Ustess: (15/20 + 17/30) you hide in the nearest available place, a garbage bin, it is empty thankfully. and you begin to wait out the Villainous knights.

Peeking out you see one of them survey the area wearing a suit and a badge, his hair is slicked back and he has a shock pistol at his side, all in all, he looks nasty.

He pulls out a cellphone, purple with a strange blue purple and yellow insignia. "We were unable to find the mutant, but we WERE able to find a very interesting piece of equipment, tell the good doctor he will have no shortage of test subjects for experimentation after we get this server loaded up and back to the... secure TADAF Building."

He chuckles darkly as he closes the phone before yelling to the officers. "Ok! Load all this crap up as evidence, take it to the TADAF warehouse!"

They begin to bring out the machinery you were fiddling with, and place it in vans.

If not, he will aim and fire at the soldiers approaching Metal. If Jason can't take care of the tank, he will try to get Bass' attention. "Bass, cover Metal until he can get back to his feet. Try to distract that tank if you can!" Jason shouts to Bass.

VAV.exe: Placing the stone plugs in place, the water runs over them both, reaching the bottom.

A clicking noise erupts from the ancient looking device, revealing the chest, which contains a convenient key.

Jason: Hearing your voice, Metal shoots up, yelling something before throwing your sword at you, a bright yellow flash erupts from it and you shield your eyes before feeling a weight in your hands.

Looking at it quickly you see a gleaming steel shotgun, Proudly emblazoned on the side of one of the barrels is two black flames, and underneath it is an inscription in beautiful flowing letters that reads "New game plus bitches"

Hefting the three barreled monstrosity in front of you, it feeling no less heavy than it's bladed counterpart, you pull the trigger and an energy blast rockets out of it, peppering the entire regiment of troops with hundreds of singularly weak shots, the volley pushes you back, nearly jolting your shoulder out of place from being unprepared for the massive kick.

The shot takes out about a 5th of them at best.

Metal, sensing ample opportunity to retaliate against the tank, does so, snatching a charged shot by Bass right out of the air and using it as a one time knuckle duster, it explodes, sending the tank scooting backwards like a puck on ice.

The remainder of the troopers split into two groups,  one set act as a unit, dispersing damage, a few scatter to harass and support.

VAV.exe: The wall back near the begging of the path appears to have the perfect keyhole, upon inserting it the wall dispersal, taking the key along with it.

Heading down the side path you hear ravenous roaring, growling and the chirping of consumed data around a corner.
Jason: "I want that gun."

"Then I suppose we have no choice." Metal says amused at the prospect of really challenging himself in his restored state.

(11/30 + 29/30 + 8/30) You fire at the troops, hitting them for 100 damage! 10 damage bounces off among other enemies! Metal summons a black prismatic field, before ramming himself into the tank, intent on becoming a cybernetic implant, dealing 582 damage! Bass tries to Blast the tank, but misses due to not accounting for Metal's shove.

(8/30 + 2/30 + 24/30) the remaining troops fire at you, metal and bass, but are relatively ineffective, a stray shot hits you, dealing a stinging 2 damage, the regiment fires at Metal, but the shots ping off of his black shield. the tank fires at Bass, sending him flying across the field. He groans in a fair amount of pain for having been hit by a tank shell.
