Seeing an opening, Jason charges the android is an attempt to knock it to the ground, or at least knock the shield out of the way. If this maneuver works, he attempts to put a bullet through the arm joint of the shield arm as well to make it inoperable.

"D": (20/20) You hastily strip every last byte of code from the DemiDevimon, and your weakened body absorbs it with high efficiency. Leaving behind nothing but a reincarnated Digiegg, you finish digging your way out shorty after, (27/30) thankfully the brunt of the storm, and it's viruses, has passed by your temporary abode. You look on to see a virtual connection to another area in one direction, a city in the other, and the storm heading for the edge of this area.

"Kori": (13/20) you incorporate most of the code into yourself, increasing the density of your (color?) Digizoid armor and restoring it. Now only open seams should be affected by the corrupting influence of noise and other such radiations.

Dylan: (16/20) After a well earned meal, you check what missions there are available for someone of your skill level, of which there are 8.
  • Capture a "Mr. Unagi" unharmed for interrogation and ransom, (Level 3 mission)
  • Retrieve at least 6 Pounds of "Crimson" from a Noise containment unit in East city (Level 1+ Mission)
  • Search and destroy a Renegade robot master, who has been interfering with Drug dealings in North City (Level 5 Mission)
  • Pick up cash package planted at a specified address in South city and return it to a separate address In South city (Level 1 Mission)
  • Bribe or blackmail local police to prevent interference in Current operations in West city (Level 3 Operation assist)
  • Destroy Data disk at ultracorp local sector in North city (Level 6 Mission)
  • Find location of "Warriors of virtue" Local sector, Do not engage (Level 26+ Mission)
  • Participate in current operation (Level 5 Operation)

Requesting a mission would have an information jockey on your doorstep in less than 5 minutes to give you the details, they are efficient like that.

(7/20) You look at other random internet stuff, but for some reason the only interesting thing was a group of furries that were arrested for attempting to steal equipment from NASA on the news App's popup...

Jason:  (27/30) You Tackle the Robot to the ground while he is stunned, Forcing it's shield away and firing the rest of your clip into the arm joint (17/30) It forces you away pushing you into the ground and Hitting your leg with a powerful round from it's rifle with a lucky shot, Dealing 80 damage. It's arm finally falls off gushing oil and sparking slightly. (28/30) the sniper lifts up his good arm, yelling into the watch as the Phoenix suddenly unleashes a fire blast directly at piledriver, knocking him away (28/30) But piledriver retaliates in kind, Pushing through the flames and tackling the other medabot to the ground, smashing a chunk of asphalt where it impacted. The phoenix's back opens up, before it's medal pops out.

"Function ceased! The winner is... Piledriver, and his medafighter John!"

Looking at you, and then his arm on the ground, he glares before pressing a button on his watch which fires a beam of light at john's, the phoenix's bottom half disappears before being replaced by a decidedly shoddier set of legs. the sniper robot points at his arm on the ground while looking at you, takes his medabot and skulks off, hopefully keeping his word. this feels like it isn't the last you will see of that guy.

"Woo!, w-we won! And I even got this sweet medapart!"

"Yup yup yup boss!"

You make it to the ultracorp building and your map activates, revealing the floor plan, Apparently there are 10 floors to this building, and the Viral data is on the 9th, other than that, none of the information on the rooms themselves seems to be of any use.

((It's basic, for the moment, so a tarnished silver, I suppose(he's dark grey in color, mostly)))

Hmm. Interesting. Nice, too. Now he could probably engage those viruses much more easily...Kori looked around a bit more before deciding to make his way towards the other viruses. He'd try to check them out first; wouldn't do to get ganged up and torn to bytes.

"We need a way in. I wonder if they'll happen to be giving tours to the public to keep up their image. If not, we'll have to sneak in. You have any ideas, John?" Jason asks his companion as he evaluates the outside of the building, looking for any out-of-the-way entrances. He also checks the map to see if the floor plan includes guard or camera locations.

((Nope, it's to prevent infiltrators from sabotaging missions, or even Operations))

((You can choose to Deny a mission after you get more information on it. But you have to pay 10 cash for the Info Jockey's ride.))

That's...

That's kinda pretty dumb, in all honesty. People are liable to get themselves killed by doing those Operations, then. No one sane accepts a job without even knowing what they're getting into, just like an assassin doesn't accept a job for a mark they'll only be told the name of after they accept.

((Yeah, that's evil for you, but evil pays, besides, a mission isn't them getting dumped in the middle of combat with no clue of whats going on, there is not only a Q&A interview with an anonymous Infromation jockey, once a mission is accepted but there is also potential for a stakeout, and even research on a mission, Aight, I changed "Accept" to "Request" So now you accept AFTER the info guy pays you a visit, Short term ret-con for the win or whatever, i guess.))

((Its a single option, "Request Mission/Operation" Then the guy appears and you ask him about mission(s) that catches your interest, then inform him as to which ones you have accepted. also, Missions go from level 1 to 7,837,289,999,999,999 Scaling in difficulty, A plus symbol next to it means there are special conditions that can be fulfilled for an additional reward.))

Ah, I see, I believe that number would be approximately...ah yes, yes, the top of the scale is, of course, seven bajillion, as is only proper.

*dapperface*

For the record, the stuff that's at risk of being infiltrated/sabotaged isn't really the sort of stuff one's going to put on a Quests billboard. That's the sort of thing you go to someone specific who has a reputation for getting the job done for.

Said people also typically have a reputation of being able to be discrete, otherwise no one would hire them.
