Clean up papers and glance through them while you're at it

Cut wrists so we can practice healing.
Do not do this under any circumstances.

Ok. Rip open knee by biting, instead.

I'm trying really hard to think of a character trait that would give these bonuses… Survivalist?

I'd offer "Oporturnist"

Else, what Nav said, +1

3. A Familiar Place

You search your bookshelf, noticing some familiar titles such as Healing for Newbies, Seventh Courage, and The Silk of the Sword.

You open your wardrobe and are met with the usual assortment of clothes: a blue robe. You decide to leave it there for now.

You clean up the papery mess on the ground, while glancing at some of the text...

Quote
Ingredients:

1. Red berry
2. A dab of honey
3. Fresh water

...more intructions...
You remember that this was an assignment given to you by your mentor Dwight, who is also the village elder. You put the recipe into your inventory.

You look in the vase. It's too dark to see clearly, but it seems empty.

What do you do?

Take Healing for Newbies! Then go say hello to our parents and remember where we're supposed to be going - do we have learning to do today?

I'm waiting for someone to comment that they noticed...

I meant about the name of the character and town.
If it helps, if we have a best friend that we can name, and it's a female, I was thinking of naming her Laura Tabb.

4. An Empty House

You take Healing for Newbies and put it into your inventory.

You leave your room to say hello to your parents, but no one is around. There's a note on the table, it's your mother's handwriting:
Quote
Rita, we're at the market. Help yourself to some breakfast. -Mom
You remember that you have a learning session with your mentor this afternoon, and that you still haven't started on the assignment recipe.

You look in the shelf with pots and jars and stuff and find a Jar of Honey. This'll come in handy for that recipe. You put it into your inventory.

Put on that cool-looking armor and take that bucket of (presumably fresh) water. See what food we have in the house, and take any red berries we come across.
