You can pool the money in your team. Guns DON'T COME WITH AMMO. If you don't see the weapon you want, ask for it and I'll give you a price. Weapon choice does matter on pain and damage inflicted, but in general handguns, unless one is significantly more powerful, are gonna perform about the same. Same with other shit too, right?
Now, Guns do much higher damage (ak does 1d20(!) damage) but are harder to hit with, because you get all sorts of penalties for shooting while moving, while the target is moving, while they have cover, etc. Melee is a really simple roll.
This system is designed to kill you dead really fucking fast, so keep that in mind.
