Get up. Try to grappling hook the beast. Also throw a javelin, I have two hands might as well use them both
Funny story. As you try to get up, pushing yourself back into a sitting position, you are suddenly in a screaming horrible amount of pain. You look down and find that your left arm is hanging limp below the shoulder, rather obviously dislocated. You try to get up, getting as far as your knees before your arm shifts and the pain knocks the wind out of you.

((With my luck I would have ended up like Hap did and completely missed if I aimed for the eye. 
Also, how would riding work? Like if I wanted to use the javelin in the creature's side to climb onto its back, maybe stick two Javelins in there for handholds. Also, any chance this sumbitch'll die before I run out of javelins?))

Hmm Illgeo is pretty strong. He hits, fairly easy. Lets see about damage. Oh, disappointing.
Hap now. Short throw, but legs move...lets see...He got lucky. Damage now. Not bad.
Now for Berius: Oh my. A complete miss.
Illego, by virtue mostly of location, sees an opening and takes a shot, swinging his blade up into the creature's side. The blow skids across the transparent skin, cutting a painful gash but doing no real damage. Berius hurls a javelin straight over the creature's head, but hap manages to sink one into the beast's left foreleg, just above the joint. The creature screeches and limps to the side before rearing up on it's back legs and screeching with a noise somewhere between lion roar and hawk screech. It turns and launches itself at Hap.
It glides in low, skimming the ground in a leap, leading with its beak, pouncing, cat-like. It hits Hap and for a moment nothing is visible, just a coiled mass of turquoise flesh crouching over the place Hap used to be standing. It straightens, bringing its head back and up into the air, pointing its beak straight up into the sky. Hap is on it, skewered straight through the gut, with 2 or three feet worth of beak sticking out his back. The beast holds him there for a moment before jerking it's head hard to the side and hurling his body off into the ruins of a structure over to the left.
Congrats Hap, you've been fatally wounded! Your new stats are
