I give whoever posts first permission to puppet me until next Monday; on travel for work and won't be able to post much at all.

Off you go at full...2 speed.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I meant to say east.
We'll assume you went east these two turns then.

Hapah: Charge four squares east, make lots of noise.
Hap charges east, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Alright, the posse is heading towards berius, lets see how he fares.

((Jump good. I see what you did there, PW. @Tavik: Somebody getting over here to help would be great.))

Toss Concussion grenade at the good side of its head, jump away and cover ears with hands. Hope I don't get internal injuries from concussive force. Hope monster does get injuries from concussive force.

Spoiler: Character Sheet (click to show/hide)

You light the concussion grenade in a panic and hurl it straight at the creature's head as it runs up onto you. The tincan bomb bounces of the creature's head and detonates halfway to the ground. The explosion hits you like a sledge hammer, an expanding wall of hot force that knocks you flat on your back and punches the wind out of your lungs. You find yourself laying on the ground, staring up at the sky with spotty vision and aching bones. You feel like you've gone from zero to hang over in .02 seconds.

The creature hasn't moved much, though it seems disoriented and shaky, stunned by the blast but too large and heavy to be thrown by it quite as much as you. You've bought yourself a few seconds, but it is gonna be on you again all too soon.

((Gonna go with Monster Hunter tactics. Attack and roll away.))

Cut its good eye with my glaive, then roll 1 square SW to dodge any retaliation and reposition if Hapah isn't a good distraction. If the monster is distracted, maintain position. Or if I have to move first, run 5 squares SW and javelin the monster, aiming for the head again.

Spoiler: Character Sheet (click to show/hide)

((I hope I don't get javelined by this.))
Hapah action:Run 4 squares NE and javelin the monster, aiming for the body. Continue making noise.

If they don't act, can we have them suicidally charge the monster too?

Probably. We've got one more person who could do something this turn. Namely Illgeo.

Distract the monster while still trying to run towards it.
You make loud shrieking noises and run toward the creature.

Well, lumber toward the creature.

Run to building near prey. (east 6)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You run straight east, over toward the building nearest the creature.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Throw javelins at the monster if I can, otherwise move closer.
You'll do both! Had to move you in close since you can't throw very far.

You run up and huck a javelin into the creature's side. It pierces the skin and sticks in the muscle, but the creature doesn't even seem to notice.

Diagonal movement costs 1.5 as opposed to 1, so it goes 1, 3, 4, 6 etc I moved him as far as he could go, which is just one less then you wanted anyways.

(By the way, I should point out that, when you roll for damage, I count 6's as "Crits" and they cause an additional dice roll. The whole "Exploding dice" thing. You don't see it, since I don't show the numbers, but hap did 8 damage this turn cause of that)

Hap charges straight up behind the beast, using the momentum of his run to hurl a javelin straight into the creature's ribs. The Javelin buries itself several feet deep into the creature's side, half the shaft embedded in between its ribs. The creature shrieks in rage and pain as turquoise blood runs from the wound.

Beirus, in the mean time, manages to rock himself up onto his knees, swaying with vertigo and disorientation. He can't stand, legs refusing to hold him, but he might be able to throw himself out of the way of an attack, if he does it at just the right time...

The creature swings one paw at Beirus, and Beirus, at the last moment, gathers his feet beneath himself and throws himself forward. The beast still hits him, but it hits him with it's wrist and forearm, rather then the foot long scything claws of its paw. Beirus bounces, skids across the algae coated ground and rolls into the side of the building he was fighting next to, bruised and battered but not seriously injured.

The creature coils up and leaps, flapping it's feathered arms at the same time and taking off with a burst of air strong enough to nearly knock Hap and Nav off their feet. It doesn't fly, it probably can't, but the leap caries it straight across the street and over to the lawn of another ruined building. It leaves a trail of faintly luminous greenish-blue blood  behind it.

So do creatures have stats like sinew and stuff too? Because this one has a 16 square movement speed.

Thats with a leap. The thing has the capacity to sort of fly over short distances, so it can move pretty darn far but only in spurts. Damage a limb and it won't be able to move nearly as fast.
