Help carry exoskeleton onto the elevator, make sure Oswald gets on it as well.
Ben lived on a small colony, specialized in mining. Crime was rampant, so Ben took a few self-defense classes. Then he starting buffing up. Like, really buffing up. More than once, he was accused of steroid abuse. His muscles were put to good use in the mines, helping to pay for his family's apartment and food costs, until one day a family member won the Corporate lottery. Ben seemed like the most likely family member to survive whatever dangerous scenarios the Corporation would put him through, so he quit his job in the mines, claimed the "prize", and was soon on his way to the Crossroads.

You drag the exoskeleton onto the platform. You didn't specifically say to insert the hand into the socket yet, so I didn't. Mostly because I don't want to have blood on my hands, until you've been nice enough to cut your own throats for me, of course.
Scribble name/date/etc on the wall by the door like I did in the hall. Take off backpack, and if I can squeeze through the bent door without damaging my spacesuit (VERY major if) then crawl through and look around.

You scribble your mark on the wall near the door and then shove your backpack in through the gap. You follow it through a moment later and look around. The room is much the way it looked from the outside, though the enormity of the pit, of the huge number of bodies, of the enormous still glowing scars ripped across the room and on the edge of the pit are substantially more distressing from here.
You take a deep breath and calm yourself down. Letting yourself get panicked in these situations isn't going to help you stay alive.
It seems very obvious that whatever went on here, it was an attempt to contain something. Hard to say if they built the pyramid around it, or if it was made here, but you have a distinct feeling that whatever is in that pit is absurdly dangerous. Oh look, there's a stairway leading into the pit. Great. Lets...lets just not go there.
