((So could I have done that without a roll because of Techie perk, PW?))

"So I guess that box thing would be a good place to start, right?"
Carefully step outside the shuttle, write an override program on my data pad that would allow me to remotely control compatible technology once I have connected to it once with the adapter kit.
(yep, though only if you post your sheet or link to it, since I'll just roll d6 with no bonus otherwise. )

You step outside the shuttle and shiver. It's colder then you'd like, but you suppose chilly is better then hard vacuum. You poke away at the datapad and create a simple override program that should, with some luck, work on anything thats running a relatively similar program language to this one.

((Techie still counted for that last action, right? Also, posting sheet here for posterity.))

((Eh. That was a placeholder action; I never actually intended to roll for it, what with the malus. I wasn't expecting such a quick response.))

"Yeah; not much else around here. Let's go check it out."

"Oh, right. Sure. We're basically on a flat, featureless plain right now, looks like Minos. The only other thing here, besides the shuttle, is some box-thing, about 400 meters away."

Purchase Stuff, pay Life Support Tax. Then board "Single: HEPTAGON 02 FMS YELLOW FOLLOW" if still available. Depart for glory and/or untimely death.

The metal box turns out to be a entrance of sorts, a small room with a single door. Inside is an unlit, unadorned room with a set of stairs in the center. The stairs, from what you can see from the door, lead down into further, unlit depths. The smell of salt is stronger here, and you think you can hear the sound of water, a great deal of water, actually. The chilly wind is stronger here too, seemingly coming up out of the stairwell, whistling through the metal railing that runs along the stairs.

You buy up your supplies and then load into the single shuttle. It's a cramped thing, a flying closet with a cargo compartment you have to crawl through to reach the pilot's seat. You get sit down on the single pilot seat and press the start button. Gravity cuts out and the ship begins to move. It grumbles forward on the automated system for a while and then you feel it detach and set out under its own power. It drifts like that for several hours, the panel showing strange symbols, until finally it suddenly comes to a halt and gravity resumes, though not quite as strong; maybe half a g or so.  The ship settles  and lists to the side, as though the ground under it is uneven.

I'll remind you guys that you're scavenging. You can choose to leave at any time, there's no objective like in a mission, except to get as much as you can, since you're paid based on what you bring back.

Keep in mind also that what you grab counts toward your weight so just grabbing bulk scrap metal won't get you anywhere.

If there's a window or portal that I can see out of, take a look. Otherwise, make sure CS suit is sealed and open the door.

"Since you're so eager, sure. If it starts getting too dark to see, though, I'll take the lead. I brought a flashlight."

Let Mr. German Accent go first, then follow behind.
