((Eh. That was a placeholder action; I never actually intended to roll for it, what with the malus. I wasn't expecting such a quick response.))
"Yeah; not much else around here. Let's go check it out."
Lead team to metal box. Guide Oswald, since he's blind.
Ben lived on a small colony, specialized in mining. Crime was rampant, so Ben took a few self-defense classes. Then he starting buffing up. Like, really buffing up. More than once, he was accused of steroid abuse. His muscles were put to good use in the mines, helping to pay for his family's apartment and food costs, until one day a family member won the Corporate lottery. Ben seemed like the most likely family member to survive whatever dangerous scenarios the Corporation would put him through, so he quit his job in the mines, claimed the "prize", and was soon on his way to the Crossroads.

The metal box turns out to be a entrance of sorts, a small room with a single door. Inside is an unlit, unadorned room with a set of stairs in the center. The stairs, from what you can see from the door, lead down into further, unlit depths. The smell of salt is stronger here, and you think you can hear the sound of water, a great deal of water, actually. The chilly wind is stronger here too, seemingly coming up out of the stairwell, whistling through the metal railing that runs along the stairs.

You buy up your supplies and then load into the single shuttle. It's a cramped thing, a flying closet with a cargo compartment you have to crawl through to reach the pilot's seat. You get sit down on the single pilot seat and press the start button. Gravity cuts out and the ship begins to move. It grumbles forward on the automated system for a while and then you feel it detach and set out under its own power. It drifts like that for several hours, the panel showing strange symbols, until finally it suddenly comes to a halt and gravity resumes, though not quite as strong; maybe half a g or so. The ship settles and lists to the side, as though the ground under it is uneven.
