The southern spelunkers down there just sort of sit around.

Nav and Beirus beat a hasty retreat northward, Nav at full sprint, Berius still sneaking and somehow beating him. There's a sound coming now, from somewhere in the dark toward the east, following them north and getting closer. It's a sort of...wet noise, a slapping or crushing against stone, and it seems to be coming more from the ceiling then the floor.

Our southern group keeps moving, sees nothing, but good old Northern group, Nav and Beirus, they...well they don't see anything either. But they hear it. They're in a small cave section, with thin paths off to either side, and down the one on the right they can hear something. It's big, somewhere off the ground, and thudding around somewhere on the other side of the divided cavern.



I can only imagine that you guys are hearing something like 10,000 pounds of wet spam slurping and splatting across stone.

You all head straight north, slam face first into a wall, and then proceed to grind against it, up toward the northeast and toward the other group. Otherwise known as the "Way I play every racing game ever" method.


Follow passage while sneaking. Ready Glaive.

You move up along the passage and reach a small, thin section just as the creature reaches it on the other side. The creature is at least 9 meters tall, with a strange, elongated ape like appearance. Long, powerful arms and stumpy legs with hand like feet attached to a stretched, ferret like body. Its head is an odd mix of rodent and ape as well, with a round, human like head that elongates into a snout filled with sharpened teeth and ending in a rapidly sniffing nose. It's entire body is covered in what looks, at a glance, like shaggy hair. But upon closer inspection is a writhing coating of cilia or tiny tendrils which appear to be secreting a thick coating of mucus or slime. The creature stops at the other end of the crevice and looks down it at you. It's clearly too large to get through the crevice and it knows it.  It screeches, a horrible mix of all too human scream and rodent like squeal, and then bounds away back into the dark.
