Ok, you three heading south hear a muffled cry. The two of you heading northish hear a closer cry.

Illgeo and Nav realize that these cries are coming in regular intervals, with a space of about 10 seconds  between them.

There's probably a big group of whatever we are fighting.
Either that or it's echolocation.

Continue through the pathway, but stop just at the turn.

Waiting on a NAV to catch up. Prepare dart. If the monster shows up and attacks me, animate dart and throw at monster's head. Make it burrow.

((Look at the bright side! It will probably make searching for the creature easier, and it won't notice the headlamps, unless the 'echolocation' part was just an adjective and it could see perfectly and even then it would already have about 360 vision [That's how echolocation works, right?] and...

You three are all occupying the same yellow space now.

The passage in front of you is painfully small; the sort of thing you need to take one at a time, walking sideways and even then scraping up your back and chest.

You two link up and now you can hear it. You're hiding around some large stalagmites, down low, just peaking out into the dark. But you can hear movement now, hear something wet and slimy and huge slapping against the stone. The the hooting calls suddenly stop, and everything is quiet.

You press the bone dart to the blade of your glaive and the dull, ghostly green light enshrouding the blade leaps to the dart.  You carefully set the dart down on the cave floor and it rolls off into the dark. You wait a few seconds. You hear something coming. It sounds like....oh god, it sounds like a skinned snake pushing a peeled watermelon, all wet slithering and plopping. And then something looks at you from out of the darkness. It's an eye; the size of a grapefruit, and not attached to anything. It's just sort of sitting there on the ground, glistening with goo, staring at you. And then it's gone, half rolling, half slithering on a detached optic nerve into the dark.
