M'kay. You should probably get buckled in; the ship's leaving soon.

Just as he says that, an announcement comes that says the ship will be taking off shortly, and you must be buckled in. A new announcement will come after it enters FTL mode. Do you want to fast-forward or continue talking?

Yes, I probably should.
You sit down in the chair and buckled up, and boot up the computer to look at recent events. Skirmishes in the border worlds, boring political articles, tomato prices soaring, yadda yadda, none of that never interested you. You feel a lurch as it takes off, and are shoved back against your seat. This continues for a few minutes, until you presumably leave the atmosphere. Then a much, much larger jolt happens, and continues to push you against your seat for a little less than a minute. It appears the ship has entered FTL mode, and artificial gravity starts to kick in as the ship spins. The PA tells you that it is safe to get out, now.
