So, all the yellow zone people are Nod extremists. How on earth does Nod lose? I would assume that there would be some people in Nod areas who are not extremists.

The Yellow population receive aid from Nod, and Nod does most of their recruiting there. They don't help them. There is no precedent for civilians actively helping Nod during the Second Tiberium War. GDI just evacuate them to Blue zones, mostly. Not a lost of arresting going on there..

Look, can you please stop arguing with me?! I said no! No no no! This is really starting to get irritating, guy! I desperately wish you wouldn't insist on provoking me when I've already put my foot down about this!

Unit Name: Fifth Mobile Infantry Unit
Type: Light Infantry
Sub-Unit: Medic
Project Goals: To test the viability of dropping men from orbit directly onto the battlefield.  Preferably with protection equipment, such as a drop pod equipped with machine guns.
Interesting Flavor Text: Drawn from the skilled and hated members of the GDI, each member of the Fifth has angered someone in their chain of command badly enough to be volunteered to this unit.

Well the Philadelphia can drop infantry from orbit with no problem, you see that in the first GDI mission in Tiberian Sun, and I don't think they need much training to pull it off. Maybe there'd be a tricked out Kodiak that could make dropping infantry in pods a more convenient and regular thing.

There's been a lot of suggestions, only a few +1s for individual suggestions, but no..

..as they say.

So not yet. Normally I'd just make a choice to get the game moving.

Equipment: Body Armor Light/FlaK Medium Mk.ii (BAL/FKM.ii), Body Armor Light/EXplosive Mk.ii (BAL/X.ii), Body Armor Light/Tiberium Protective Mk.ii (BAL/TP.ii)
AF-10 Assault Rifle, Disc Backpack, Medical/Tiberium-Backpack (M/T-B)
1x Laser Communication Backpack

Project Mandate: Test prototyped improvements to standard infantry battle gear, test defensive-related and advanced medical equipment in the field.
Current Experiments: None

History: 1 Engagement, 18 Casualties
The 23rd has already been bloodied in it's first battle with Brotherhood of Nod forces at their first assault in Estonia, having stopped a Nod attack in it's tracks and immediately taken the fight to them. After a few hours of pitched battle the 23rd ground them down, routing the Nod forces. The unit's medical support and the heavy weaponry available to them had proved decisive in holding back Nod from the base they were stationed in.

The lieutenants are the PCs. Each one commands a squad.

Platoon would be the correct terminology here Gunin, just pointing that out. Also anyone old enough to have been born in what now constituted nod territory before nod moved in would also be viable or have parents descended from emigrants from those areas. With gender, both serve equally, considering there's an omnipresent demand for more bodies.

I don't care.

That's true, unless you just joined.

Now you and I both know that GDI don't canonically employ female infantry, but because this is a forum game I guess there's no reason not to include females. :p
