The lady in the hall says she seen a guy enter the Commander's office with a barrel, singing quietly. She doesn't know anything else, though.

A thug walks out of an alleyway and says
"He went for the Judge. He's probably dead now, though. The old guy had a meeting with his escort, so... Yeah. Small chances."
Before you say anything, he is gone again. Huh. He looked like one of the Boss's men, though.

[94] You see that the man you currently were cutting to pieces is dead now, that's for sure. You are covered in his guts, after a small search you think that he was a tax collector. He had a list of homes with their rent undue, and keys to all of them. He had a bag of 36 coins. You think that your time is running out, so you probably should cling on to your dear life!

[31] You try to be not seen, but you aren't exactly sneaking into an empty room, the place is full with guards. They aren't worried yet, but they soon will.

Alev:
[55] You calmly enter the alley looking for the source of the voice. The only person you find, is dead. Burned into ash. You see some footsteps, likely to be the killer's.

Salsacookies:
[30]You quickly deduce that the killer ran through the window, and that the victim was burned to death with oil. You unfortunately rip off the arm of the, now deceased commander, and are forced to hide it under your clothes to avoid a solid beating from the Royal Guard.

All:
[90] Independantly from your location, you all hear the shouts of heralds, proclaiming:

"Due to large influx of violent crime, unbeknownst the wrong-doer, the King Louis Vorhoardt the Conqueror of Marchy, declares the state of emergence and deploys the force of 200 Royal Guard onto the streets. Furthermore, all citizen are asked to stay home at night, and keep in groups. Any sort of offence towards one of the city Guard shall be punished by imprisonment or harsher punishment.ę

Follow the footsteps. Be careful.

Find a safe area to throw the arm away, then continue investigating

Try to blend in, start asking guards in the room if they've seen anyone with a barrel, casually.

[60] After engaging in some chit-chat, you find out, that the Commander had a visitor. A tall guy, holding a barrel. Singing quietly to himself. A bit weird, isn't he?

Alev:
[15] You not only destroy the tracks, but lose yourself in the alleyways. You fortunately manage to get out before losing your purse, or your life...

Salsacookies:
[25] You try to throw the arm behind one of the cabinets, but your arm was a bit twisted and it didn't fly true. It instead hit the Royal Commander in the face, blinding him with bits of ash and burnt flesh. You quickly sweep out of the building before he regains his senses and goes on a rampage.

Look for any suspicious people.
