Seriously. I hate your gif. Yes, you, specifically. It's annoying. Distracting. And when I'm on my 'puter, it's blocked. But if I view the forums from my ipad, I want to cut people. Actually, I usually just hold my finger to the screen as I'm reading to prevent them from looping. But anyway, can we just ban gifs from avatars? Let's all just go pick out a nice, simple, UNANIMATED png or jpg.

Well, if my avatar suddenly started creating gifs, I would want to keep them out, too.
Gifs making gifs would be terrifying.
It's like a small-scale robot uprising.

Under "Profile" -> "look & layout" -> there is a nice option to turn of avatar pictures at all aptly named "Don't show users' avatars." . Sadly there isnt an option to turn of particular Avatars.

If you have AdBlockPlus installed, you can actually block the specific image link for loading. Just right click the image and pick the ABP option, choose Custom.
