The Sociopath's Hunting Lodge
« on: July 11, 2014, 08:34:42 pm »

Here's an idea: call it "The Sociopath's Hunting Lodge" (Or just "The Lodge" for short).  Every adventurer that retires there needs to drop their trophies off at the door then reclaim the "Lodge" to add a new trophy room to the premises and setting their contributions up "just so" before retiring the Lodge and passing the save on to the next person.
So we're all familiar with that big thread about the museum that adventures bring prized artefacts back to it, right? Well, I've got a worsebetter idea! Let's have place for all those brutal killings you've made! The more gore and bits the better! Basically, adventurers would go on adventures to become the most sadistic people in history and then bring back their kills to the lodge! Anyone up for this CARNAGE?!

I wanted to gauge interest before going any further. Basically, one person would create the world and build a museum and then retire it. Afterwhich, adventurers will go on adventurers to become the most sadistic people in history and then bring back their kills to the museum. Adding this to the OP.

I have a beautiful world genned with 40.02... Remember that map of North America I had for Minecart Tycoon? Yep - it works in DF2014 too.  100 years of history makes for some slabs, some inter-nation strife and plenty of castles to choose from.  What do you say?

Since you started this thread, I nominate you to choose the location of The Lodge and set up the initial buildings.

It reminds me of the older games that had graphics like these - the trick is to boot up the game then go get a drink or check your emails for a few minutes.  Check back a few times until its done, then play your game.  Easy.

That's exactly what it's like! Having that kind of mindset makes it much easier to wait for! Also, currently having my mind slavesdwarves chop down every tree in sight.
