I was reminded today...
I have never seen a single layer aquifer... they do exist right?

Built a trap in Fortress mode. I just don't like the idea of them.

Used them at first, then stopped, because it's dirty tricks.

I have never:

-Built a magma piston
-used minecarts for anything but shotguns
-had a human siege
-mined more than a little bit of candy
-effectively trained, equipped, and deployed a squad of marksdwarves
-had a successful adventurer

I've never actually killed an elf. Somehow all my sites are inaccessible because 3+ years in I don't get any traders. I do have elves in my world.

Never have I ever *successfully* used magma as a weapon. Invariably there is too much collateral damage or not enough casualties to count it as successful, even with the wishfullest of thinkings.

I've never made crystal glass. I avoided clear glass until one day I had waaaaay too much potash and plenty of magma. Turns out it's pretty great.

I've been playing dwarf chocolate recently, and I've successfully traded with the wizard civilization exactly once. If they spot any hostiles(including thieves and things) they erupt into a full scale wizard battle and the magical fallout/fires/ice storms spook them enough/drop them into volcanoes so they don't feel like trading.

Going through everything so far, I got an ego boost from all the things I have done, and how routine many things are for me.  That bubble was quickly popped when I realized the length of my list of things I haven't done:
-Extracted anything to make poisons or salves
-Used a siege engine in combat
-Conquered the HFS (attempted, but no success)
-Seen a bronze colossus in fort mode
-Explored a fort as an adventurer
-Successfully embarked in a husking/thralling biome
-Dealt with an HFS fortress (besides "pretend it's not there")
-Done anything with clay
-Made a magma piston
-Experienced a tantrum spiral in a mature fortress
-Embarked on an ocean
-Dyed cloth
-Had a dwarf with a fell mood
-Sewn an image
-Played a major mod
-Played a succession game
-Played with a tile set or graphics pack
-Used the default labor assignments of migrants
-Unmasked a vampire in fort mode
-Weaponized a werecreature
-Built a functional automated defence system
-Built a functional literal troll grinder (trolls are too big for my goblin grinder)
-Designed a fortress to look nice in stonesense
-Won

-seen a megabeast in fort mode

-dealt with any HFS
-Found a vampire in fort mode
-found a werecreature for more than them jaunting on and then back off the map
-fought off a siege
-Finished draining a volcano and building a fortress inside- I did finish the drainage once, but didn't get around to building the fortress. Will fix this one when the new version is stable and not corrupting between updates.
-Had a fell mood
-Played adventure mode for more than a few minutes
-sewn an image
-had an elf or human siege
-done too much with military (Although I have gotten in to the routine of equipping all of my citizens with armor via squads because it won't wear out like clothing)
-bothered at all with aquifers
-messed around in any caverns
-messed around in an evil biome
-messed around with necromancers
-used fertilizer or soap (For more than a single bar)
-never yet built a fortress worth showing off (See: Draining a volcano and building inside- do note that I plan on also slicing the mountain it rests in in half, to allow for great views from rooms with windows/made out of glass!)

- Kept a fort for more than a week before getting bored and starting a new one
- Designed anything myself using pressure plates
- Used minecarts for actually transporting things instead of for running over enemy goblins and my dwarves
- Embarked on anything bigger than a 3x3
- Played a major mod (Fantastic DF isn't major, right?)

I tend to lose interest in forts when I leave them for more than half a day. It's why I had about twenty varied worlds lying around before I cleared out the folder.

-Played extensively as an adventurer 'night creature'
-Built a formal Megaproject
-Put syndromes into stone
-Used minecrafts for large scale transportation
-Used extensive logic circuits
-Built a tower over 15 zlevels high, excluding roof
-Completely sealed myself off from a biome for the total duration of the fort.  Even in terrifying ash reanimations, I keep sending people out for something.
-Led and adventurer to the bottom of the world.
-Played without attempting a meat industry of some kind.

Things I am proud to say I did do.

-Own boogies every night for a week straight
-Spend a whole night with them without purposely attacking them
-Been blinded by boogies and lived to tell the tale (and during a forum play-along too)
-Started a loyalty cascade as an adventurer

-dug through 4 aquifer layers in the dirt
-Made a functioning and pet-safe kobold-trap
-Had a werewolf pit.
-Set up and used a line of zombie cages that I unleashed upon the gobos
-Persisted after the HFS breach, both in military and fps
-made  a magma stack and used a plug to shift up magma
-Become a self-proclaimed expert in water-working
-Modded in a few fun monsters
-played an 'evil ash' biome' and never built a sealing gate.
-Built an outside fort.

Something I had never done until yesterday: Become a necromancer in Adventure Mode. (Which is great, btw. I have an army of killer rabbits and human heads)

in DF2012, though, so there's always another layer.

I've Never:

* Survived the Clowns after openning the circus.
* Used the candy (related to the above).
* Had a good enough Fortress Guard to fend off even 1 invasion.
* Done a build on the mega-project scale.
* Had an arena built in the fort for testing prisoners might.
* Used the minecart system, at all (despite always planning my mines to have room to accomodate them).

Now for the stuff I'm personally ashamed of having never done:

* Built a Danger/Panic Room.
* Built a trap corridor/any traps.
* Had a large scale cat leather industry.
* Have a fort last to see it's 10th Year.


Things I'm proud of:

* Back when you could embark on other entities sites I embarked on a Dark Goblin Fortress (literally on the roof), I then fortified it dug straight down and unleashed the HFS which ripped through the Dark Fortress. (still lost, but that was !!FUN!!).
* Had a tantrum spiral in which every Dwarf in the fortress jumped into a carp infested river. The women threw their babies in first then dived in after... I found this highly amusing.
