Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

The Irish build a fine ship and look across the water at new lands to conquer. The Picts claim Berwick uncontested, while the Mercians move to seize Middlesbrough, leaving only Bridlington and the Northumbrians still without a king. Egbert II recalls his vast bow legions to the defence of Winchester, while the Welsh recommence their raids on Mercia.

Spoiler: Ireland turn 42 (click to show/hide)
Hmmmm.... I'm pretty clearly still the last place in production (ignoring northumbria of course), and my army is the smallest by so much that it's going to be very hard to catch up with my limited production (even assuming you guys keep killing each other's units). If the game is going to continue after turn 50, I wonder if I shouldn't start to focus a lot of resources into building cities and improving my infrastructure.

Spoiler: 856 AD (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

In 856 an uneasy peace reigned, symbolised by the annual horse offering of the Welsh to the Wessex King, holed up in his crowded Metropolis with his many men. The only bloodshed was the low-level razing of Northumbrian lands by the Picts. The Welsh King, Cyngen ap Cadell, offered the fleeing refugees safe haven in his valleys. He could afford such benevolence after capturing the Northumbrian's Castercliff for himself.

Ruin everyone's day. If we continue on, the game will switch to a Danes vs. Everyone Else game, with established infrastructure versus an immense army.

What do I need to do to win at this point?

Can I even win at this point?

Do I only need to take Winchester?

And also, can there be secondary win conditions once turn 50 hits? So we have reason not to start-mass producing shit before they arrive? (otherwise Danes are fucked)

Your wincon is north and me defeated, as in destroy all the unit and city belong to me and northumbia which i think is impossible at this point, so......

Edit: you can try take Winchester and prevent me from winning though.....
