It is a mixed year for the Mercian's: they hold off Pictish outriders in the north but their attempts to rout the west Saxons are thwarted by their serpentine manoeuvring. Across the water, the Northumbrians withdraw from their march as the forces of Ireland become ever more organised. As ever, the Welsh slowly grow, building while the world around them tears down.

For gold, I have over 50 in my stocks and no real need to use any of it at the current time.  Got anything better to trade?
