Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

In the spring of 633 AD, the Northumbrians founded a new York in Ireland, and put the first of the native's villages to the torch. Wessex continued its merciless expansion, tolerating by tacit agreement some mild Welsh raiding in its far west hinterlands. By the summer it was time for war: The Huscarls of the Pictmen ambushed a small squad of Mercian spearmen as the travelled in the north country. It was a massacre, but the Huscarls themselves were routed by revenging Mercian Raiders, a gang of green boys with axes. Thus, the great Pictish-Mercian war began in earnest.

Well, looks like I lose the game. Or at least I can't win. Being able to colonize 80% of Ireland by turn 50 would be difficult even without someone burning my villages. With it and me having to pump resources into an army I don't have a real chance at claiming 80% of Ireland even if I do easily kick evil majarada off the island. That doesn't mean I am going to roll over and die of course, but I feel it necessary to note that I can no longer win.

I think he meant 80% of Ireland claimed by players.

Sorry about that. Had 0 chance of winning at home, and only a slightly higher chance of winning over at Ireland.

Just realized something: after taking out your mainland areas (or during), Northumberland now has to go to Ireland in order to fulfill either win condition.
