That's cos you built one. You can order another improvement built on a tile, and it'll just overwrite the old one.

notquitethere: For the take over Ireland win condition you say " Ireland is considered 'taken over' if 95% of its tiles are owned by one player".
Does that mean one player must own 95% of the tiles out of all of Ireland (eg. owning 126 out of the 131 Irish tiles), or do they just need to have 95% of the ownership when compared to the other players (eg. owning 21 tiles of Ireland while the only other person only has a single tile in Ireland).
If its the first, then it's literally impossible for anyone other then Ireland to win that way due to the condition being checked at turn 50 (and still very hard if it is Ireland). If its the second, then it is simply extremely hard for anyone other then Ireland to win that way.

If its the first, then it really needs to be changed (especially for the non-Irish).
If it is the second, then I do think the win condition should still be made easier for the non-Irish. Not so much that it would be easy, but having to go and burn down every single Irish tile would be very annoying (perhaps make it 60% ownership for the non-Irish and that no other non-Irish player has more then 10%).

I'll have a think about revising the Irish wincon Lemon. How about: Ireland have to win and hold 80% of the tiles in Ireland, anyone wishing to 'take Ireland' has to be the only power with cities and units in Ireland on Turn 50. Hmm, those aren't mutually exclusive though... I'll have a bit more of a think.

Whoever is playing Northumberland right now, it may be a good idea to just head over to Ireland and start up there, considering how your current position is being struck at on both sides by stronger enemies.

Yeah, because the answer when you are under heavy attack is to go and open up a third front.

Neither is "Defeat X' with anyone else who wants to 'Defeat Y'.

If I crush Northumberland and Pictland, and fulfill my wincon, Northumberland can still 'win'; Pictland was defeated, and as long as they played some role in that...

I do wish that you would cease and desist this needless jabbing of my borders, Wessex, as it serves no one any good and only serves to annoy me. And I grow more powerful with every passing of the seasons...
