question: Is there a way to do combat simulation? I tryied using the interface but it is a bit tedious. Unit stat are kinda hard to compare

By the interface. Load the turn into the admin interface, load the orders into it, then run the turn. Repeat as necessary. Its a pretty terrible way to do it, because doing much more than 5 trials is a pain in the butt, and if you want the odds of winning to a high degree you would need to run it dozens/hundreds of times. But even a few trials of doing this should let you know if you should win or not.

There is no other way to do it currently.

Three kings clashed sword and spear across the kingdom and now one lies dead. In the hills along the contested Wessex-Mercia border, a large brigade of Mercian archers marched along the rough hewn paths, planning on besieging Londinium. They were walked straight into the Wessex King Egbert's royal encampment and bloody battle commenced. In the end, superior numbers and defensive position won out, with Egbert personally slaying several of the Mercians, his shield bristling with arrows. When the battle was done, Egbert lived but had but a handful of surviving bowmen. Whatever northbound force he had intended was broken on that day, and no sooner had he cleaned his blade than a messenger arrived with word of Welsh incursions to the west. In the tattered remains of Northumbria, the Picts continue to head south, threatening towns as they go. While King Coenwulf drank himself into a stupor over the news of his beloved archers, the Pictish king Causantin sat on the mines outside the Irontown, waiting for his moment.

No it was in Ireland that two two kings clashed and one met his end. The beleaguered Eanred, road weary in a wet and dreary land far from his home, broke camp early one morning and was beset on the road by the High King Conchobar and his two sons, Eochócan and Cathal. Eanred hefted his sword and ran at the High King, stabbing him deep in the side. Conchobar coughed blood but battled on. His two sons came to his aid, one with a pike, the other with an axe. Eanred had a castle forged sword and some training in his youth but was not battle hardened. Still, he beat away the advances of the royal party, and with two savage hews he cut down the young Eochócan, his pike dropping to the mud.

"My son!" cried High King Conchobar, and ran at the Northumbrian with his ceremonial spear. King Eanred, blood dripping from his wounds, bashed Conchobar aside, the High King falling into the dirt. Eanred raised his sword to deal Anglian justice when he breathed his last.

"For my brother!" cried Cathal as he embedded his axe into King Eanred's back and done what his own father could not.

Evil Marahadja should pick a new unit to be his king (historically called Æthelred).

Also, for some bizarre reason, I've been recording all the turns as if they happened from 650AD onwards, when it's really taking placing in 850AD+. This changes nothing, mechanically, but I'll be using the correct 9th century dating from now on.

Units with better defense work better with the bonus because the bonus depends on their starting defense. Well, that's my opinion at least, I don't know how it shakes out mathematically.
And yeah, that hill did pretty much win you the battle.
