Awesome. I've updated the turn-start post accordingly.

Not gonna spoiler that, Kash?

Also, I'd like my in-game name to be Rolep. No g needed.

Spoiler: Mercia Turn 1 (click to show/hide)

I propose we put all turns in code tags from now on, since the select function makes it easier for our GMs to run our turns.

Also, I hesitate to mention this, but I notice a balancing key that was, intentionally or not, included;

Wessex and Mercia have no way of getting stone on their own. They must trade(which requires road connections, which will take a very long time and cooperation on the behalf of others) or conquer, if they wish to survive.

Oh, hey, I didn't know anyone was still playing this.

Yes they do; you can build quarries on hill tiles.

Whut?

Oh right. You can. Cool. Now I don't have to get into a fight with Wales before I'm ready.

Too bad they're pretty frickin' expensive at this point in the game. >.>

Trade
Should have clarified this earlier. In Dark Age, resource trade requires a road connection between two cities or two coastal cities with docks (connected by a stretch of water which isn't blockaded). The exception is Money, which can be traded with anyone regardless of where they are. You can't trade land and you can't trade units. Trade can be made on whatever terms both parties agree to (i.e. it can take the form of tribute or gifts).

Vanigo
Oh, hey, I didn't know anyone was still playing this.
Cheers for making the game Vanigo! Lemon10 was wondering where the images come from in the game, with an eye to modding in new features.

Varee
Feel free to negotiate in the thread of privately.

Zanz is absent for this week or so.
You might want to run his turns for him until then notquitethere, or you could let someone else do it. I know I would personally be willing, but I presume that you would want to do it yourself to avoid a conflict of interests (not that I really have any interests over on the continent, nor he in ireland).

E: This is my turn for him if you let me do it.

Because the solution to not being able to control your dakka is MOAR DAKKA.

That's it. We've finally crossed over and become the nation of Da Orky Boyz.

Oh, hey, NQT, you can run the turn now possibly(it was an edit so you might not have seen it).

A question, can we abandon tiles and get the population that was in them as free population in the following turn?

What classifies as a blockade?

Code: [Select]
Also seriously guys you should put the orders in code.
I got to say, the Picts are in a bit of a Pictle. Lots of land, not much food, no cities.

So who wants to be in an alliance with meh? :P

Oh yes, and I am also very interested in where the pictures are, Vanigo, as I'd like to introduce elephants into the game for a China+ one.

Cheers. Yeah, just on it now.

No-- think of it like this: people of your nation live there now, you can't just pick up villages and move them wholesale elsewhere.

What classifies as a blockade?
If there is no path between the two docks that wouldn't pass through an enemy ship (for instance, by surrounding the three tiles around one of the cities with barges).

Spoiler: 615 AD (click to show/hide)

In the early years, in those small stirring of armies and regional squabbles the prelude to conquest and ruination could yet be dimly divined.

Built into the swf, unfortunately. I can't quite remember why I did it that way. I think I was planning to add support for external image files, but I never wound up actually doing it.
