You cannot trade inspiration, labor, or population. Nor under NQT's rules can you trade armies or tiles.
I wont mind trading gold for stone, We need a road right?
You need either a road between two of your cities or having two ports on the same ocean.

Damn. Northumbria withdrew its swordsman. This is going to be far more annoying then I was expecting. I don't think it will change the end result, but it will be very problematic.. Nevermind, it looks like I am going to be able to catch it before it escapes. But it will still be a pain catching it.

Spoiler: 639 AD (click to show/hide)

The Mercian militia tried and failed to catch up with Egbert's legion as he moved from his encampment on the Great Ouse back south to meet up with his men by the Thames, sending raiders north to capture the Mercian mines along the Nene. Meanwhile, for the first time in years, the Welsh forces mobilise, encroaching on the Wessex horsefields in the south. While Northumbrian raiders continue to pillage the Irish riverlands, Conchobar and his his men march on Eanred's position, enlisting aid from the villagers to clear a path ahead. And in the north the full might of the Picts descends on the hapless Mercian miners that had take on the iron pits once claimed by the Northumbrians.
