Oh baby. In short:

A (developing) game of starship design and the many ways to accidentally kill your crew.

Prototype: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QWPjil4yIQ

So, 3D shipbuilding, crew controlling, orbital mechanics and oculus rift (i don't know either BUT I LIKE IT!). Also multiplayer. Wow.

Here's the website: http://www.spacedeathgame.com/

Looks awesome!  I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time.  Can I request more blinking lights and dazzling wall displays, computer interfaces, screens, any and all blinky lights everywhere please?  Even the galley should have at least three glowing terminals full of buttons and holograms and maps and lights.

What are my crewmen going to do if they don't have a bank full of flashing buttons to press and readouts to monitor?

Edit: Just watched the Explosions in the Void video, very cool.  Keep up the good work!

That looks amazing. I request the ability to set down the exact layout of the piping and wiring. Of course, make it also able to be automatic- I cannot forsee anyone but me painstakingly wiring their entire ship by hand.
First rule of wiring space: wire it three times.  You're going to take damage.  Don't let it damage you.

Count me in, oh and multiplayer? Might end up helping you painting your pipes :D

that was a luky dwarf. I had one dabbling surgeon fail so spectacularly that the patient skull flew a tile away from the table.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Relevant to my interests. Is there now/when will there be a version we can play, demo, not-done* or otherwise?

Do want, just hope it's not too gimmicky.

I really want a 'serious'/long term version of something like SS13 or FTL, where it's not just a quick 30 minute shuffle around, but a properly epic space adventure thingy.

Looks super hype, hope it develops according to plan, and would totally throw money at further along.

Anyone have a clue what this would entail? It's not coding within the ship is it? http://spacedeath.net/post/97719137236/s-os

Also, they now have a website. http://www.spacedeathgame.com/. Current release date 2015.
