[[Search: 12+7] [13+17] [Fort: 8+3] You don't notice any traps and so you happily open the chest. Or at least make to. When you place your hands on the lid you feel small prick on your left ring finger followed by a brief wave of dizziness. -1

This probably isn't very good.

Shaking her head, Lora checks over the chest again to see if the trap is still armed, attempting to disarm it if so, and opening the chest if not.

Eileen stands silently. She surveys the surroundings, paying particular attention to the potential foes. She's slightly tense, ready to grab her bow at the slightest provocation.

Upstairs [[Lora]]

[[Search: 19+7+2] While it's somewhat hard to steady your vision you eventually find that there's a small needle on the left side of the chest. No other needles are present so you are easily able to open the chest. Six scimitars and six bags await you. No, wait, three. No just one of each. Your vision seems to be going weird... In fact you're starting to feel tired. But the Scimitar has a note attached to it. It reads:

Quote from: Another Note
Found this on the body of a Kobold Monk. I am truly the most powerful creature on the island.
  - His Excellency, King Fluffy

Downstairs [[Everyone Else]]

If Fluffy noticed your actions, he doesn't show it.

Lora slips the bag and scimitar into her pack, closes the chest, and moves on to check the rightmost chest for traps.

[Search: 20+7] The bag feels like it's full of coins while the Scimitar feels... like it doesn't agree with you despite its obviously excellent make. Strange. As you move towards the rightmost chest you stumble as the room spins around you. Shaking it off, momentarily, you manage to search the chest and find no traps. It takes a little longer than usual as your limbs are starting to feel leaden.

Open that chest. Stuff the contents into the pack. Close the chest. Climb onto the tree limb protruding into the tower and crawl out, find a crook to rest and hide in.

A bag and a potion of healing, you think, are in the chest. Stumbling towards the tree you manage to inch your way onto the tree proper. Your resting spot is less optional than you'd like. You're having trouble moving at all now. A creeping darkness is in your mind. You just want to sleep now. You could attempt to finish climbing down the tree or you could... stay here and rest.

Lora quickly rearranges her backpack, layering an empty sack and her coil of rope over the loot and her ration packets over that.

Climb down the tree.

[Climb: 18+2-2] [Climb: 17+2-2] Rearranging your pack is hard to do with you meat nubs... But you somehow manage to do that. A burst of clarity comes to you as you attempt to shimmy down the tree, not trusting your hands anymore, which allows you to make it down perfectly. Most people couldn't have done as well as you had when they weren't poisoned, you assume, but the clarity doesn't last. A few steps and you find yourself falling facefirst into the ground unable to move due to the extreme weight of your limbs and the foggy way your mind is working. Unconciousness is coming... Soon you reckon.

She Eileen surveys the surroundings, paying particular attention to the potential foes.

The tower is roughly circular. It's roughly 40' wide at the largest section and the distance from the door to the northernmost wall is roughly 70'. Fluffy is standing over his stool which is 65' from the door, slightly to the right, which is also directly south-west of the stairs that Lora went up earlier.

The squeeky goblin and the two guards are out of sight but they should be directly outside the door by the wall.

THe armament of Fluffy is grand Leather and a powerful looking maul. The two guards, you recall, had leather armor and a spear or club. The squeeky goblin merely had his hands and royal, for goblin's, clothing.

With the last of her energy, Lora arranges herself against the trunk of the tree as if she were preparing for a lazy afternoon nap.

"Is there anything else before we leave, your grace?" Vicnan grimaces a little at that phrase.

With that, there is nothing.

"Is there anything else before we leave, your grace?" Vicnan grimaces a little at that phrase.

"Aside from the thieves' hand, no. Nothing. You may go now. I shall await the good news."

Vicnan walks as fast as he can still walk to get out of there. With his short legs, it's not very fast.
