Lora continues to listen out of one ear, very carefully resisting the temptation to search for valuables.

Now isn't the time, lass, and they're not to be havin' much anyways.

"So brother, how has all this been on you?" Captain Grey asked in a more tender tone than you've ever heard from him before. However, before you or Isotini could ponder the question a man dashed into the room breathing heavily.

"Brother Warren! What happened!?"

"I... I was in the jungle... collecting wood for the fires..." the man seemed close to passing out "I saw goblins heading this way... Goblins and hobgoblins. On foot... They'll be here soon. Ten minutes at the most."

"Woe is us... Brot-" Brother Isotini began but Captain Grey cut him off.

"Alright lads and lasses. We'll be protecting these monks. If any of them die, so do you." Captain Grey said turning towards you. "I'll head out there and try to distract the main force. How many were there?"

"There were thirty total captain Grey."

This gave Grey pause "Thirty... I may be able to divide the horde. They've been after me for a while. You six will stay here and protect the monks. Which way were they?"

After Brother Warren gave Grey the specific directions he dashed from the room. You didn't really know if you'd ever see him again.

Still you had 10 minutes to prepare. Plus Vicnan needed to be warned. From the directions you know that the force, or whatever comes back after Grey is through with them, will come from the East.

Head outside the monastery and look to the east.

Head outside the monastery and look to the east.

Looking outside you aren't terribly surprised at the lack of sightline into the forest. Thankfully, the road leads deep within and you can make out the vague form of Captain Grey dashing into the jungle. But aside from that nothing. After a few seconds pass however, you hear the sound of combat and shouting. Obviously, most of the voices are in Goblin, but you do hear Captain Grey's taunts.

With Kyle

You see Vicnan inside the library looking at a piece of paper.

"Hmm? Oh. Goblins?"
Vicnan stuffs the paper into his bag, and follows Kyle, pulling out his crossbow along the way.

Kyle nods before seeming to think of something.
"Go find the others. They should be at the east entrance. I'm going to go do something."
Kyle looks for a monk.

After reuniting with the group and being brought up to speed, Vicnan makes a few suggestions.
" Since they typically come from the east, that for is our best bet for a bottleneck. It's a nice, long corridor, so that should give us some breathing room. If someone takes an axe to the tree by the north entrance, we can block them that way. Still, if we can barricade the doors, we'll have an even better chance."

"Bloodshed, more and more of it comes, might as well take it. Fightings not the only thing I would do and its thr reason I cam- Ah whatever." Jernak mutters to himself. Drawing his rapier he smirks as he passed Lora. He drops his pack, pot, and hides his dagger on his person.1 "Hmm, but it would be a bit harder to do ranged combat or fall back in a corridor. But if we were to somehow enclose on some of them or set up something so soften them up... What kind of magic can you do wizard? Anything that can help with my thoughts?" Jernak looks at Vicnan with a look with seemingly trust and respect

It doesn't take long for Kyle to find one of the brothers. They all appear to be in the prayer room, the north-western room, praying around a small tea pot which is a well recognized symbol for peace. Tapping one on the shoulder he stands up readily and asks "Yes defender?"

Kyle looks at the monk before nodding slowly.
"That's... brilliant. Better than my idea in fact! Um... I'll be back if I don't die."
With that he runs to join the others.
