"I hope the others share your thoughts." Eileen mutters quietly, standing. She walks toward the building, but stops in her tracks. "The captain! He's still not here!"

What does the weapon look like? Anything particularly notable?

The longsword appears to be a dime-a-dozen longsword that just happens to be of particularly outstanding quality. Judging from the lack of Smithing Mark you assume that it was made by a apprentice that got lucky. The most notable thing about the sword though is the Grand Navy insignia on the hilt. It isn't large, but it is noticeable. The Sheath shares this distinctive mark.

Kyle pauses.
"... Do you think they'll do that to us if we die?"

Eileen hesitates. "I... I think they would."

Lora grins toothily at the two, clearly eavesdropping, "Oho, boya, ye be afeard o' your dreadful comrades-in-arms? And ye, lass, driving him down the path o' suspicion? Mayhap some would, but most ye'd fought beside would see ye buried proper, or raised if'n they had the coin."

The Next Morning

Presently sleeping in the room opposite the monks despite Eileen's protests that they go search for the captain the group awakes fully rested and feeling pretty good. Isotini, however, is not. You awaken to find him leaning against your door looking worried.

"My brother did not return last night."

"Then Eileen and I should search for him. Jungles are hardly that different from a forest right?"

"I've never been in a forest. I do know that you should avoid the southern portion of the island entirely. The tribes don't even go there... They say there's an extensive underground system. From what I gather it is filled to the brim with giant spiders. Recently they've been leaving the caves and setting up in the jungle though so... My brother should be somewhere in the northern section. Most likely near a goblin camp. I don't have much but... My brother mentioned that you work for him right? I don't think you'll get paid if he dies. I..." Isotini suddenly looks very ashames "I will give you anything in the monastery if you rescue my brother. Please..."

"... Giant spiders coming up from under ground, gobbos attacking for no apparent reason, and a disappeared captain. This is getting really interesting..."

[Tawa]

"Giant spiders? Saving people? Fighting goblins? Sounds like my kind of job. I'll help find your brother."

Richye grabs his sword, chain, shield, five daggers, zither, a day's trail rations, spell component pouch, waterskin, sewing needle, and prybar (weight totaling 39 pounds) and prepares for his next outing.

Knowing why I've been brought here to kill is a piece of that. Seeing that the reluctance to share personal information runs in the family, I will let the issue be."

"Every moment we wait is another moment my brother could be killed. He is powerful, but not invincible. Fluffy is a danger to most... I will tell you anything you want after you return with him alive or... If he is dead bring me something to bury... I will give you any information you wish after that."

"Eh, if it just gets us more money and I get to keep an employer. I'm up for it."
Jernak takes with him armour and weapons, Lantern, oil, pack, pouch, grappling hook, 4 rations, waterskin  (36.5 pounds)

[Nerjin]

"Thank you. You have no idea how much my brother means to me. But I must return to the monks for our daily prayer. I would suggest heading east. That is the direction he ran in. Aside from that I'm afraid I can be of no help." so saying Brother Isotini leaves the room.

Now all that's left to do is to venture into the jungle.
