"I think i recognize this place, it part of a mira village i visited." Fia still trail behind the other as they slowly move out of the doorway.

Ketsuki turned and stared at the healer with a hard gaze. "Then where is this, healer?"

(18) The seagull fails to react to the stone - in fact, the stone hits it. The bird drops out of the sky, landing about halfway down the hillside, whilst the rock drops into the port itself, unnoticed. Chance notices it made an oddly sharp angle at the top of its trajectory however.

"Something is definitely wrong. What exactly, I have no idea."

Chance walks very slowly, watching her sides, to the fallen seagull and inspects it.

The bird appears to be just that upon visual inspection. However, upon touching it, Chance's hands pass through the feathers, instead encountering a leathery surface underneath. This same surface extends all over the body, though the wings feel more like a membrane.

"A bat. Clever. Yes, this is definitely an illusion. Maybe we could dispel it with one of the anti-magic tubes, if we find the runes or whatever is sourcing this?"

(( It's a port at the tip of the mountain range - possibly the one you were heading towards. There is a sizeable water temple there. It's called Cudnon.))

"Look for runes or other such things as you do, and be wary."

Chance starts carefully walking towards the temple.

"The temple is the obvious place to look for clues."

Anthony says as he starts heading that way.

Anthony and Chance walk to the bottom of the hill, continuing until they reach the borders of the city, where they have to part. Gunnar, Fia, and Ketsuki remain by the door, though they could still catch up to one of the others.

Chance moves up to the temple, but doesn't go inside yet. She inspects the facade of it. Is the architecture as one would expect? If not, does it seem merely ancient or otherwise strange?
