Ketsuki picks up a rock and throws it, far up into the sky. It misses one ‘bird’ closely, before stopping sharply and falling back down, as if it had hit something. She then jogs over to join Anthony, who is passing through the main gate of the city.
The main road is almost incredibly straight, with side roads at regular intervals - the first of these leads to the water temple, and Chance takes this.
Anthony and Ketsuki continue on, past rows of shops and houses. Up close, the construction looks even queerer - sharp lines and corners seem to pierce through the curves, as if two different buildings had been superimposed. The docks themselves seem more fitting however. A number of jetties, seemingly made of wood and stone, extend out into the sea. The boats still rest in place, not noticing the pair. A few boxes full of fish sit on the side, but up close Ketsuki notices that the sea smells somewhat less salty than it should in her experience. A lone figure can be seen, sitting on a stone stool at the far end of the longest jetty, asleep with a fishing rod wedged under the crook of its arm.
The side road taken by Chance is much like the main road, only smaller. She hears a slight skittering when she is about halfway to the temple, btu a rat darts out into the road in front of her, then flees just as swiftly. The exterior of the temple seems both ancient and strange. Like the other buildings, lines and angles appear where they wouldn’t normally, and the temple itself appears to be build from wood and stone - wheras any temple to water built in the golden age was grown magically from coral. The entrance is blocked by a set of double doors that appear to have been carved from driftwood, and they are slightly ajar.
Fia wanders around the cliffside, joined by Gunnar who walks in silence besides her. After a few minutes following the curve of the city, they hit a sudden end to the path - and yet it appears to continue on. An invisible barrier cuts across it.
