((Just assume Spooner retires to the main room of the inn, warming himself and enjoying a good time as he considers the things he's bought. Maybe he can find somebody interested in lichens at last.))

Anthony ties the trinket around his arm and then starts heading for the Inn.

((I was not careful enough. Third time lucky, right? Anyway, may update tomorrow afternoon sometime.))

((Screw that, gonna get Chance's part out of the way whilst I have a minute, as we're waiting on her and Yozod.))

The magician turns at the greeting, revealing the sharp features of an elf.
’Good evening my lady.’ He nods a greeting to Chance, eyes running up and down her, taking in her clothing and equipment as well as her figure before lifting to meet hers. ’May I help you with anything?’

"I see you've got some fascinating things there. Namely, what looks like flash powder. Would you perchance be willing to part with some of it?"

((Ninjaedit: changed the wording of the question.))

’Why, that would depend on your price.’ He flashes a grin, and his eyes flick to either side of you, before he reaches back into the chest and pulls out a small pouch. ’Expensive to make, this is. How does ten gold for the bag sound? I can give you a demonstration if you’d like?’ The bag looks to contain enough powder for about 5 uses.

"Oh, no demonstration needed. You just throw it at the ground, right? Ten gold just might be a price  would pay, but I was thinking more along the lines of seven gold... How about eight and a half?"

The elf’s smile falls slightly, but he brightens as Chance makes her offer.
’Eight and a half gold, eh? Certainly worth considering.’ He strokes his hairless chin, before his eyes widen slightly, and he takes a step back. Chance herself spins round as there is a sharp tug at her belt, and a strange creature stands behind her, coin purse in hand. It resembles a monkey more than anything else, but its skin is a murky green covered in sparse crimson fur. It has long, dextrous fingers, which wrap all the way round the pouch, and its teeth are sharp points. In silence it starts to scamper away.

Kannii slipped on the ring, wondering if she'd feel any different.
She nodded to the merchant, paid, and headd for the inn, wondering if she'd just been made a fool.

Once there, she looking around, taking in the different people present and evaluating them for a threat.

"Water's ring finger! Get back here!"

Give chase and tackle the creature. Perform parkour and/or freerunning if necessary to keep up with it.

The creature scampers out of the markets, finally closing, and up a stack of crates, where it leaps onto a low roof nearby. Chance clambers in pursuit, (12+4) clearing the narrow alley with ease. The creature stands at the far edge, peering over a significantly larger jump. It seems to make up its mind, spinning round to face Chance and hissing. Chance, however, is briefly distracted, eyes fixed on a point in the sky, where the silhouette of a large snow drake flaps laboriously towards the city. It looks to be arriving in a matter of minutes.
Ketsuki, meanwhile, is someway towards the tavern, feeling no different to before, when a simian face, masked by crimson fur, peers off a roof, before vanishing again.

((A wild update appears. Hopefully they'll gain some semblance of regularity now.))

"What is...?"

She continued on, more cautiously, with her hands on the hilts of her weapons.

Call for the guards about the dragon. Stare the creature down. If it charges, smoothly ukemi backward, kicking up to let it flow over me while I grab my coin pouch. If it attacks slowly, parry with my dagger. If it flees, give chase.

Ketsuki travels only a couple more steps before a cry comes from the rooftop.
 ’Guards! Dragon!’
A snarl follows the cry, (16+4) halting with a grunt and a screech as the creature she saw only moments before lands on the road in front of her, hitting the ground with an audible crunch. It lies almost still, though its fingers still twitch slightly. On the roof itself, Chance stands with her coin purse firmly back in hand.
