"What, really? That thing's wakin' up from that, not our yammerin'? Eh, let's just run like hell."

Run for the end of this strange canyon! I've got some fear of death left in me yet!

"Everyone, get down and be quiet. It hasn't fully noticed us yet, as I far as I can tell. Fia, one of those ice walls might slow it down a bit."

Draw my dagger and lower my profile. Trace rune A8 into the snow, with the intent to hide our scent, and preferably some of our noise and visibility as well. ((Full silence and/or invisibility would be bad, as it would also make us mute and/or blind, respectively.))

Spooner, in all honesty, finds that a much better idea, though he'd never say so, mostly because he's now trying to be quiet.

Get down and with the program.

Yozod curses under his breath, before lying down in the snow and shooting Anthony a venomous glare.
"What did I just tell you? Damned healers, trying to help everything that doesn't move. You'd better be good enough to patch up whatever the hell that thing does to us."

If it seem he has enough time to both try and get up again and hide under a thin layer of snow he does so. If not he just hides.

(15+4+3) Chance drops quickly to the ground, sketching her rune into the snow. The world takes on a muffled quality, the sounds of the party dropping down into the snow hardly audible. Likewise, Fia seems to almost blend into the rocks behind her as she remains still.
The scraping sound grows louder before stopping altogether, as a white, reptilian head pokes its way over the lip of the cave mouth. The head itself is around half a metre long, and the jaw extends along the entire length. Twin red eyes, each no larger than a marble, are positioned on either side of the head. Its nostrils flare as it sways back and forth, attached to a long, sinuous neck. Claws appear over the lip, resembling little more than daggers made of old bone, and a fine dust of snow falls over the party, dislodged.
Then suddenly the creature is airborne. It is perhaps three times the length of a horse, though a third of that belongs to both the neck and tail. The body seems ungainly by comparison, the stomach almost swollen, though still covered in its scales. The rear limbs also appear stunted, though the front pair appear longer and stronger. Its wings are batlike, though the same snowy white as the rest of its body, and each is as long as its length when extended.
It circles above the group, its flight slow and laboured, but seemingly finding nothing it flies east in silence.

Wait until it's completely out of sight, then break the rune. EDIT: Move out once we're ready.

"We'd better get going, it might come back any minute."

"Damn fools. Leave the next one be. Now lets continue on."

She murmoured a quick prayer to the Earth, before turning to the sodden mira.

"You. Healer.

Be more careful with magery. It's a sword you hold by the blade. Not the best tool for every little thing."

((That's to your character, Varee. ))

"Don't they lay eggs? Wait, who cares. Let's go."

Move out when the time comes to do so!

"Yeah but it's on a cycle isn't it? Besides, it's bloated in the normal area, it was breathing heavily, and it was not nearly intent in trying to find us as what I would guess is normal."

"If it's pregnant, then you're double-lucky that the invisibility rune worked. It has to eat more than normal, and has all the more reason to kill anything that gets near its den. Seeing as we can't get the drop on it now, we'd better leave before it returns. Maybe we'll get lucky and find another cave to stay in before we all freeze to death out here."
