V.034 Merchants havent left in 4 years

This is really hurting my fortress.

They have plenty of space to leave from. Nothings blocking them. What the hell is going on.

Have they loaded up all goods yet? "t" over the depot to check that.
Sometimes it takes an eternity for them to do so, especially if you trade huge amounts of single items not in bins.

I also can't really tell from your picture which path is your exit. If only the wider hallway connests to outside I don't know why it isn't working but if one of the other hallways does it is possible the traps are preventing them from leaving.

I also seem to remember reading something about merchants being bad about repathing.

They arent loading up goods. At all.

What does it say when you "q" over the depot?

Also yeah, I can't really see where your exit is. Not that familiar with your tileset, but I don't see any ramps to the surface...and I can't tell where there might be traps or boulders that can't be crossed.

Merchant wagons can't go through traps.  Are there any UNTRAPPED paths to the surface?  Check with the D key to be sure.

I think at this point we really need to see how your depot connects to the outside world.

Sorry, I can't seem to figure out where your fort connects to the surface, since I don't know what ramps look like in this tileset.

If there is a 3-tile wide ramp to the surface you should be fine...

Does it say "depot accessible" when you "D"?

If the round spiky green things on the first image are traps (as I suspect they are), then it LOOKS like the path from the Depot to the surface has to go through those traps (although we can't be sure because you haven't ever shown where the Depot level connects to the surface level).  And if that's true, then you need to find some other way to let the wagons out, because they can't go that way.

Press D to check the routes leading from the Depot to the edges of the map.

Did you build a second trade depot? Bad things happen when there are multiple depots available to traders. Pack animal traders will abandon their merchandise and move to a newer depot. This leaves the wagon traders with more stuff to load (and they may even load slower since there are fewer traders in that depot), potentially exceeding the weight limit of the wagons. I'm not sure what would happen if all the wagons are overloaded, but it seems possible that each wagon would end up waiting for the other full wagons to finish emptying the depot before they all depart.

You can probably order the depot deconstructed to steal all their unloaded items and force them to hit the road.

No traps on the way, doesnt go through the left hallway, no ramps, no second TP, its all accessible by caravans.
