Give it to the Sheriff/Captain of the Guard. The Bowl of Laws is just a perfect name to assign it to him.

I had an alexandrite bed once, which is cool since that's my birthstone.    I ended up scrapping that fort, but we'll see what amazing things await us in the next one

Probably something of talc that menaces with spikes of talc.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

There isn't much middle ground between killed-by-dragon and never-seen-by-dragon.

Atesh Bonun "The Radience of Soots", a gold mace
Adorned whit hanging rings of tower-cap and spikes of gold.

This one will be a smash once I get a macedwarf.. (no hostiles yet, so i only got one marksdwarf).

Yanno what would be evil?  If Toady put in things that dwarves hate.  Thus being around those kinds of things LOWERS their mood.

LOL they already have that.  It's my understanding that if a dwarf that hates roaches walks by an engraving of roaches, he will take a tick of unhappiness because, you know, vermin.
You understand incorrectly. Dwarves never actually look at engravings - they simply take their perceived value into account when evaluating the value of a particular room.

For example, if a picture in a dwarf's bedroom has a "value" of 100☼, then it will make said bedroom worth 100☼ more. If the dwarf likes whatever the picture is depicting, he might decide that it's worth 150☼ to him (and consider the room to be more valuable than another dwarf would). If the dwarf dislikes the picture, though, he might decide that it's worth only 10☼ and subsequently complain that his room is substandard (if he happens to be a noble).

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Also, any idea why the vowels are missing from the title?

The name is too large for the space where it's supposed to be displayed, so DF removes some letters until it fits.  There is a general purpose algorithm that the game uses for this, in many different places.  Dwarves who have super long names (usually due to having lots of notable kills) have the same issue.

My first artifact in .40.03 was a crappy millstone, but the second was worthy of sharing:

Granted, it's not very fancy, but at least it's a wearable item.

A gem setter got possessed, much to my disappointment. Then he made a bloodstone flask. I was significantly less disappointed.

I don't have the save anymore but the decorations weren't very interesting so who cares.

This is literally the only bed in my fortress, they all take turns the spartans that they are!

It's the little 8 for those who just started lurking here!

You might want to fix the thread's name, it says "ehre" instead of here ;).

Gingko wood scepter, no additional materials, no spikes, *2600.

At least it was a fey mood that struck an otherwise useless dwarf (soaper immigrant).
