Raid my closet for a mask of any identity-concealing sort. If I don't have one, make one.

EDIT: Also, remember if I own a gun.

"Wait, who the hell am I calling?"

Check my closet for a trenchcoat or something similiar. Should be useful in hiding any larger weapons I may have on my person.

Also check if I have anything that could conceal my identity.

Try to remember if I have any guns in my home.

Go to the bank to take out a loan for several thousand at least.
You head over to the bank in Altadena and take out a loan for $5,000. You just take it in cash and stuff it in a bag, and walk out of the bank. A few eyes watch you on the street as they see you carrying a bag out of the bank. You begin to walk home, but soon enough you are grabbed and pulled into an alley. Two men are there, one with a baseball bat and one grappling you.

Go investigate. If it's a gang member, stab him in the back.
[1] You sneak around the back of the house, and see a broken glass window from the backside. You slowly and quietly crawl through it, but once halfway through you look up to see a man clad in all-black clothing pointing a gun at you. You put your hands up, and he tells you to get on the ground.

Go up and swing my baseball bat at the closest person
[3] You quietly enter the house next door, and walk up the stairs slowly. At the top of the stairs you can hear voices. "We need to get the fuck out of here, I don't need a fucking accomplice to murder charge man!" you hear from inside a bedroom at the top of the stairs. Another voice replies, "I didn't mean to kill him, you fucking know that! He came at me!" The other man says, "Whatever man, let's just get out of here." The shooter replies in a shaky voice, "I don't think so. I don't need anyone snitching on me." The other man screams, and you hear another gunshot. Just then, you run inside with your bat. [5] He doesn't see you coming, and you bash the gunman upside the head, knocking him out cold. He drops a glock on the ground, where there are now three bodies. The room is mostly clean except for a tipped-over dresser next to the door.

"Come on, pick up... Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck..."

Call one of my 'friends'. Find out what Doug was doing last night.
You ring up your friend Andrew, one of Doug's friends. It rings for a minute-"Come on, pick up... Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck..." you say to the phone. Eventually, a voice answers. "Robbie, how's it going buddy?" he says.
"Andrew, do you know where Doug is?" you ask.
"Skip the 'hello's then, that's fine with me. Why do you care?"
"He's my damn brother, I have a right to know!"
"Not your brother anymore, man." Andrew says, and then hangs up.

Raid my closet for a mask of any identity-concealing sort. If I don't have one, make one.

EDIT: Also, remember if I own a gun.
You look in your closet and find look for anything to conceal your face. The only thing you can find is an old kid's gas mask...
Memories start to come back, and tears fill your eyes. "Bobby..." you shake your head and get back to it. It's the only thing you have for concealing your face, so you put it on. You remember that you own no weapons but your pocket knife.

"Wait, who the hell am I calling?"

Check my closet for a trenchcoat or something similiar. Should be useful in hiding any larger weapons I may have on my person.

Also check if I have anything that could conceal my identity.

Try to remember if I have any guns in my home.

(lol shit sorry) You find an old, oversized trenchcoat in your closet. Big pockets, and enough inside space to conceal a shortened shotgun or pistol. You remember that you have no weapons besides your pocket knife.

"Well. Nothin' I can do about that. Not without a car, anyways. Wait, didn't I have a car?"
Try to remember if I had a car.
You look into your memories for a car, but suddenly you hear a woman's voice in your head. "Dan, slow down! We've got the kids in the ca-" and then a flash of light. A tear comes to your eye remembering it...but you also remember why you no longer drive.

Glance around, looking for security cameras. If none, try to access Natalia's email. Use social media websites to help guess the password.
Either way, use said social media to determine who she was spending New Year's with.

[6] You check for security cameras, there are none. Instead of looking around for passwords, you just break into her computer and open up a password file she has. Simple stuff. You check her emails but the latest email you find says that she was supposed to attend a dinner on Christmas Eve, with her father and brother.

Think about who else I know. Call the person most likely to still talk to me, and ask if the gang is planning to hit the Bloods back. If they are, tell them I want in.

Act terrified of them and swipe my nails at the grappling mans eyes then when it distracts him whether he avoids it or not put my knee into his nuts hard, if he goes down stamp on his throat for good measure if not then punch him in the throat hard enough to drop him then stamp on it.

As we fight turn us round so that the grappler is between me and batman to prevent him from swinging at me, if he's already swinging try to time it so he hits his friend not me or just avoid the swing.

If I succeeded in putting him down wait for batman to move to step across his friend, when his first leg is over and he puts his weight on it to bring the other across stamp my foot down on his knee with all my strength to break it then crush his throat for good measure with my foot when he goes down.

(( A rather cruel tactic to use but who's going to expect a scared woman to fight back like that? ))

Put on the trenchcoat.

Check my bank account. Surely I am not completely broke yet.

Go outside, get a lay of the land - general recon, possible shortcuts and escape routes (both for me and criminals). Also look for signs of gang activity.

Get down. Wait for him to turn around, and sneak attack.
[1] You get on the ground, and put your hands on your head. He puts them behind your back and throws some handcuffs on you. You realize what's happening too late, and before you know it he puts a bag on your head and knocks you out. Hours later, you can feel your senses coming back. You wiggle around, but the chair you're sitting on falls over, with you on it, causing you to smack your face onto the ground. You hear a voice, but can't make out the words. After some silence, you get a boot in the stomach and more yelling.

Look around the house for anything I can use as a better weapon than a pocketknife. Then head out to the streets, looking for crime.
[1] You don't find anything in the house. [4] Once outside of the house, however, you hear some voices in an alleyway down the street. Inside the alleyway, you see two shady men standing over one man laying on the ground. You can only assume that this is a mugging in progress.

Crush his skull under my foot and take the handgun. Go home
You stomp on the man's head a few times, stamping out any life left in him. You then grab up the Glock 9mm handgun and stuff it into your pocket. You quickly leave out the backdoor so that anyone watching from the gunshots can't see you, and arrive back at your home not long after.

Think about who else I know. Call the person most likely to still talk to me, and ask if the gang is planning to hit the Bloods back. If they are, tell them I want in.
You think of anyone else to call. Since Andrew won't talk to you, you call Darien, another one of Doug's friends.
"Hello?" Darien answers.
"Darien, hey. Do you know where Doug was last night?"
"Alright dude, someone was gonna have to tell you." your heart sinks. "You hear about how those fucks executed one on the street?"
"I...yeah."
"Yeah, that was him. I'm sorry man, anything we could have done for him we could have."
You change the topic. "Are we getting revenge on em, or what?"
Darien seems surprised. "We, as in you're coming with? Well yeah, we were planning on heading up to Downey to smoke some fuckers. Since you're already up there, we could bring you a piece."
"Sounds good, what time?"
"About eight."
"Alright, count me in."

(( A rather cruel tactic to use but who's going to expect a scared woman to fight back like that? ))
You act afraid of them, and once one of them starts to grab at you, you knee him in the nuts. [6] He falls straight to the ground, and you punch him in the throat once he hits the ground. The man with the bat starts to charge at you over his buddy's body, and you kick him straight in the knee as he's coming over. (4) The knee buckles, but doesn't break. He falls to the ground, but tries to get back up. You kick him once in the face, and that puts him down. You give him one last stomp on the throat, and he's out.

Remember if I have any money in bank. Check the time. If it's morning or day, go downtown. If it's evening or night, go out but stay in the 'hood, looking for crime.
You have no money in the bank. It's early morning (for you), so you decide to walk over to Pasadena. [4] After an uneventful walk over, it's late morning.

Hmm. Emails are a good start, but Facebook and Instagram have more up to date information. Christmas Eve was a while.

Also, when'd she disappear?
It was just realized that she'd disappeared yesterday, but no one knows exactly what day it was that she disappeared. No one has been able to contact her. [4] You check her Facebook, and see that she was attending a party four nights ago in Northridge, and was invited by a man named Erliano Aliprandi.

Put on the trenchcoat.

Check my bank account. Surely I am not completely broke yet.

Go outside, get a lay of the land - general recon, possible shortcuts and escape routes (both for me and criminals). Also look for signs of gang activity.

Trenchcoat is on. You have no money in the bank. Downey is essentially a mid-city slum right now, a maze of alleyways and vacant houses. If anyone needed a place to stay or lay low, they could just come here and pick out an empty house. A perfect place for a gang war, because of the many escape routes and hiding places. The alleyways are the best route of escape.
