Get out of the pool with his help, then go wherever they are going.

"That's what the PSA said. In big, red, underlined letters, with way more O's than necessary."

"I see... a whole colony ship. I'm not sure what to say here... It's kind of funny to pirate a colony ship that's running away from a problem you've never heard of. If you hadn't told us, we would have probably found the sector depopulated and stayed there to take advantage of the free stuff. So in a way, you've saved our lives. We'll let you go."

Voice 1: Is this for real?
Voice 2: I hope my family's alright.
Voice 3: Gamma ray burst. They're probably evacuating everyone they can over time. It's not like these things happen overnight.

"Roger. Are you looking for directions?"
You sense a bit of resentment among the crew, judging from the murmurs and noises you hear through the mic.

"Can't help you there. But we caught you guys just as we left a wormhole--the other system is called, err... Antilla 48."

Start arming the railgun at the first sign of physical scuffle in the other ship, not a second before.

Internal comms: "I'm going to need more people on the bridge, things are starting to heat up."
