"Hey there. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I needed some... time to get used to being awake again. My name's Sophie. And you can keep the fruit, not hungry at the moment."

Swipe some watermelon when he's not looking, and eat it. ((Since I get +1 to stealing small objects and +1 to eating vegetables, is stealing and eating vegetables a +2? Questions I never thought I'd ask...))

EDIT: ((I also didn't get my trait added from before, only its effect.))

About 636 days.

EDIT: ((Waiting on Dark Artemis Fowl, plus response from Varee))

((It's not exactly stealing, considering I left them in the kitchen for anyone who wants them.))
((Stealing, when regarded purely mechanically, consists of taking something from somebody without their cooperation. Since I'm doing it behind your back, its stealing. Admittedly the lowest risk kind of stealing, but it is stealing, mechanically speaking. Legally, ethically, or otherwise it isn't stealing.))

take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.

((Philosophically, you could say it is the act of breaking a promise or agreement to maintain property rights, whether implied or not.

However, your character may simply liberally interpret stealing, since she is a kleptomaniac after all. After countless attempts, she probably doesn't give it much thought anymore))

Roll 11 -

"Hello. Do you want any fruits? I picked some from the garden."
Head over to the lab.

You recall that there is a laboratory section. Most likely, it would be for boring stuff like looking at soil samples and taking atmospheric readings, but there might be something interesting there, at least.

...

[6] Wow. The lab contains the usual analysis tools for soil, rock, and atmospheric gases. But it also contains a large 3d printer, a computer for modelling parts and prototypes, and a genetic modification and analysis suite for examining and modifying alien life.

Is it stealing? [5 > 3] It is if he doesn't know it!

[4+1+1] Making sure the cook doesn't notice, you slip some melon behind your back and make a subtle retreat to the hall. Philbert decides to leave in the opposite direction, so you are alone to feast on some of the greatest fruit Terran life has to offer: The glorious watermelon.

One of the other crew walks through the hall. His shirt is soaked in vomit and he is carrying a grabber with him. He doesn't notice you.

Retry action.

[6] Dragging yourself out onto the deck, you feel something coming up your throat...

Our hero retches.

Well... it is a very good thing you are now on the gravity deck. The vomit has formed a puddle across the hall, but more inconveniently, it has covered the front half of your shirt and is bound to put off anyone that sees it. You've got some replacements to spare, although this is a pretty bad start if you're going to be on this ship for years.

...

[6] You run a full circle around the grav-ring, identifying the following things:
>A bridge with computer screens to navigate the ship
>Several stations linked to the ship's sensors. You can change the ship's sensor priorities there.
>A hydroponics bay with dozens of plant stands, growing fruits, vegetables, and grains automatically.
>Crew quarters areas at the midpoints between the elevator entrances. Each crew quarters area has ten rooms, a pub, some laundry equipment, food, and some other amenities.
>A manufacturing quarter with a metal shop and some raw materials.
>A lab with a 3d printer, chemistry tools, and some gene-modification equipment. You stay careful not to contaminate anything that people might want to use.
>A clinic between the manufacturing section and the lab section.
>Various closets with cleaning tools and important machinery--water pumps, heaters, oxygen scrubbers, etc.

"...Oh... what happened? I promise you you'll be fine, but, well, what happened?"
Zaynab will put her MD to use and attempt to find emergency medical supplies with which to perform first aid, and perform first aid.

[3+1+3 = ~4] You contact the rest of the crew using your communicator and try to get a sense of where things are located around the grav-deck. One of the crew, Harry Shine, seems to have found a clinic of sorts between Manufacturing and the ship Lab. You figure out where it is and then help Katelyn get there, finding bandages and running water to help patch up her wound.

"Slipped and fell. Do you have anything to clean the wound?"
Once I am on ground level, attempt to clean off any muck that is still on me and wait for Zaynab's assistance.

[6] Now inside the clinic, you take the time to dry out your clothes and scrape off the layer of scum accumulated on your skin. Who knows what kinds of horrible microorganisms found their way inside that breeding ground of a pool?

You collect some green, slimy stuff in a tray and set it aside in case you find a microscope on the ship somewhere. After all, you are probably expected to perform analysis of alien worlds.

((the question is how long is the current orbital period?))

The computer reads 636 days as the orbital period for the moon. Ouch. Then again, this lonely moon is 23 million kilometers away from its home world. And despite the distance, it is still tidally locked, destined to face its pale green master for eternity.

VEX leave the bridge and go back down the elevator, then walk around the cryospace.

Ares IV is about 92 light-seconds from Ares. Luna is about one light-second from Earth.
