Yup, you've got to drink the blood of a vampire to become one.  That's why everyone is confused, AFAIK adventure mode NPCs don't drink anything.

Not sure if bug, but I just discovered a human city that was 90% taverns 5% homes and 5% Keep, I think that taking this place should be fairly easy...

Due to my lack of knowledge on how to successfully take over a site, I've just been running around, knocking people out via choking then stripping them naked.

Am I a bad person?

well im a bit disapointed that despite all these goblin bandits ive being killing theyve all been bowman and macemen i need a better sword silver just aint cutting it im guessing if i go in the direction there coming form i will eventualy find there camp

oh wow i just stoped in a town took one step and a fight happened i think it may have being started by my companion could something finaly be getting somewhere

edit hm so my maceman companion attacked a goblin bowman and in response (at least i think it was in response it may have just being she wanted to fight him anyway) an elf hammerman attacked the maceman i attacked the goblin but the hammerman dosent seem to care about me

Yeah. Projectiles are suspiciously good at causing instaKOs. I got shot in the back once and blacked out instantly - no hope of survival.

Becoming a necromancy has never been easier.

Something weird happened on my visit. I think the zombies actually mobbed and killed one of the necromancers for no reason.
