Tried out a reclaim of a pre-generated fortress. It appears as if I've encountered a strange glitch where the superfluously common forges contain thrones instead of anvils.

This was the very first thing I did on loading up adventure mode. So my DF2014 experience: crash before I walk a single step.

I saw this as an adventurer by [l]ooking at the forges. Huh. I thought it was an adventure mode only flavor thing. Check the other workshops, there may be other weird building materials.

So, interesting random metals (anyone else notice the divine metals option in worldgen), very brave kobolds, vaults, and unusual secret-bearing slabs.

The first dwarf in my first embark of DF2014. New personality traits! Dreams! New layout for thoughts and preferences!



I was going to enlist her as one of the 4 founding speardwarves to help slay the forgotten beast that destroyed the NPC fortress we were going to reclaim, buuuuut we can't get an artist's hands dirty.

Or she can paint art with deadly forgotten beast blood and dust. Either or.

EDIT: Also got this trait in a dwarf.

This is interesting. While checking out legends mode I found a structure that is new to me, an Underworld Spire. It was easier to type it than screen capture and upload it so this is what it said.

Day 2: Invasion of some random goblin village

So walked through a goblin residential area and found this mess



I believe this is a troll shearing pit, which is apparently littered with goblin corpses.

Overheard a tanner asking a child to kill a vampire.
He keeps offering those quests, to which the child simply responds "it is terrifying"
