For reference, I was using the Change effect of Prestidigitation.

Is a rat a woodland animal?

I'm going to say no. Urban animal I would assume.

What's the difference between animals that normally live in the woods and animals that live in urban areas?

What they're adapted to handle I would assume.

According to the druid bit on it being the language of woodland creatures they at least understand it.

Presumably intelligent woodland creatures. Not animals. Dryads and treants and the like.

Also, mice are woodland creatures, rats, not as much.

From what I understand they evolved from Field Mice because they could eat more and hide easier.

From what I understand...

In regards to initiative only the highest init. Modifier enemy rolls. All the enemies go at once so there isn't a lot of {player 1}, DM does update, {Player 2}, DM does Upate, etc. etc.

So yeah... My first battle. I hope it's adequately balanced yo... Um... Yeah, all of your actions will be resolved at once.

Q: If you're going to roll for the entire block of enemies (which I think is a good idea, at least for larger groups), wouldn't it be a better representation to have the one with the median init modifier be the one to roll? Otherwise groups of enemies are almost always going to be acting first, because any reasonably well-balanced group will have at least one or two members with good DEX scores (or, for example, if we confront a big bad wizard with no init modifier but who happens to have a minion with a really good DEX score standing beside him...). Not a super-big point, but maybe worth considering.

So I think I'm going to go with grey to indicate people who have gone already in the initiative order while green will indicate people who haven't gone yet.

Thoughts?
