Considering the game hasn't started yet, I don't see why not.

Heh, if you really want proof that this build is objectively suboptimal even with the houseruling on it, here it is: I plan on taking Quick Draw as soon as I get close to the GP needed for the belt and glove.

And honest, I'm not trying to trick you. It's just that this build basically needs nothing except TWF feats, ranged weapon feats, Weapon Finesse... and that's it. Weapon Focus is both the closest to appropriate thematically (because I'm duel-wielding rapiers as a rogue/swashbuckler in a pirate campaign, herp) and the closest to level-appropriate (the only other feats that don't have substantially higher prereqs than it or Weapon Finesse that I'd consider taking are the ranged weapon feats, which won't be relevant for a while anyways).

Do note that I will happily take Improved Critical: Rapier instead, if you'll let that slide through.

I think the best way I heard this build described was as being essentially optimized crap; without the houseruling on the thrown weapons &c. it's a barely passable melee DPS, and without Daring Outlaw it's worse than playing a Warrior. Rogue is already close to crap-tier for anything save skillmonkeying and Swashbuckler is crap-tier, this is just a neat way of blending them into something that might be able to tap on the toes of a ToB class.

Don't forget, Dice, that you also have to put certain things in the Additional Information section for the character to be considered complete.
Yep, onnit.

Like I said, I believe you, but there's some weird ass builds, and Quick Draw can lend it to stuff like Iaijutsu Focus abuse.

>Rogue is crap-tier
>Rogue is very similar to Scout except urban rather than wilderness
>Rogue can fit into Swift Ambusher build for some ridiculous-ness when done right
>?poor?logic?train?
>Scout is crap-tier

* Rolepgeek has crafted an artifact. It is a brass mural wall, inlaid with obsidian, draped with wizard-leather, and studded with purple rhinestones. It depicts a scene of great violence between a scout and several human players. The player is dying. The player is dying. The player is dying. The scout is laughing.

Dun' you go dissin' tier 4 FlyDie. Tier 3 and 4 are some of the best tiers to play at without becoming game-breaking.

Also, Quick Draw is important for Throwing Builds. Like my Gatling Shuriken Monk, capable of throwing more shurikens in one minute than most assault rifles fire bullets.

Ranger is Scout's Buddy, because Swift Hunter. You are safe.

For now.

I call it crap-tier because there are other classes that can do the same thing, only better, as well as doing extra stuff. Same deal as why a straight Fighter is crap compared to something built with Lion Totem Barb/ToB classes; the latter can do more better. Not that they can't be fun to play in the right setting and party, just that if you've got few/no restrictions on what people can take, you're going to be feeling useless pretty quickly (as opposed to feeling useless but still having an arseload of fun, as with a Pixie Warlock without LA buyback).

And let's be honest here, how many builds out there use thrown weapons? Even among classes which can feasibly specialize in them. (Still not as bad as Toughness, though).

e: Actually, as opposed to Weapon Focus: Rapier for that Swash 1 ACF, which of the following would you allow?

1. Improved TWF (Thematically appropriate, all reqs. met except being slightly short on the BAB)
2. Improved Critical: Rapier (Same as above, except more so on the BAB)
3. Quick Draw (Thematically appropriate, all reqs. met)
4. Point Blank Shot (Less thematically appropriate than the others, all reqs. met)

1. Yes.
2. 18-20 is three numbers so you'd crit on... 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15... 1/4 of the time. With two attacks... I think no.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.

So anything but 2. Which requires a feat.

I'm assuming the ship has a galley, correct?

Nerjin, don't let him have two-weapon fighting until he meets BAB requirement.

Otherwise he gets two attacks with his off hand and only one with his main, which is just weird.

Yes, there is a galley. It is included in the Storage area as it is where food is stored and prepared.

And I kinda figured meeting the BAB requirement was an unspoken requisite for taking it regardless. He doesn't get a pass on the requisites. It's more of a bonus feat I guess.
