Just a heads up: From now on if you could feasibly take an action in combat [For example you are at 0 health *hint hint*] you must post that you will do nothing or else I will consider you to be considering what action you want to take.

If you'd like, from now on, to just keep doing the same action: Just state "Eternal" at the end of the action. That way I can make note that you want to do it until you can't do it again.

If this character dies I think I'm going to make a dwarf character. And he'll sing traditional dwarven songs like this.

Eileen and Lora are across the hall from Vicnan. Oh, and the OOC thread exists for a reason...

I don't think it's necessary, but just in case, here's that parsed: "Hey elf-chick, want me to see if somebody will trade a bow for something we looted while you're busy with the wolf?"  :P

If yes, ask around the ship for someone willing to barter a bow. Pick up one of the extra rapiers on the way.
There may or may not be a somewhat competent weapon maker on the ship, who might make the worst thing ever but a bow's a stick with a string attached to its ends right?

Not quite.

The traditional construction of a longbow consists of drying the yew wood for 1 to 2 years, then slowly working the wood into shape, with the entire process taking up to four years.

Granted, there are faster ways to go about it, but it's still fairly involved -- keep in mind, too, that longbows are relatively simple compared to something like a bone-and-sinew recurve bow. Besides, we already know that there were some in other peoples' loot, we have spare weapons to trade, and it's probably going to be cheaper to trade than buy outright, considering that a bowyer probably wouldn't take used weapons as payment.

* Flying Dice shrugs.

It'd be more a problem of finding a suitable piece of wood to make it than anything else -- not many forests at sea.

Taking some from the rivial ship could work, somewhat

I must say, of every character I've ever created, Eileen is already my favorite.

Shrug. That's what Vicnan would say. He's very pompous, so he wouldn't dare to say "shit", "crap" or somesuch.
